Good on ya Arsene. Have no problem at all with him taking a punt on Nasri. When you look at the amount of profit he has made on the likes of Toure, Adebayor, Anelka, Vieira, Henry, Overmars etc then it's good to see him stick by his guns. He is exactly right in what he says.
I know its not the right thing to say, especially to those who have only been a fan since Wenger started winning things, but I'm pretty happy where we are at the moment.
We have 2 good goalkeepers as Fabianski performed well last season I thought when he shook off the gremlins. The defence will get better this season. Koscielny peformed well in his first season and Djourou likewise considering the amount of time out injured he has had. Vermaelen will be back as well so the only concern is if Squillaci plays but overall I think they will be better. I wouldn't say no to a CB though if one were to come in. The midfield at the moment seems pretty much as you were.
I think the attack is improved by Gervinho. Again its a transfer that the Wenger haters don't like but I think he could sign Messi and there would be some problem with it. He is 24, seems very adaptable across the attack and looks to have a lot of potential. The key thing here I think is his heritage. I think he will fit in very easily with the other african players around him. If we offload Bendtner now then no problem. I'm worried about where Doyle will fit in though.

I thought as much DM thanks, but after so much loki bashing sometimes you even begin to question what you actually saw out there in the first place. as you say jon oshea or cleverly or nzog i.know who id rather take in my squad and his name starts with nzog...every time. he even looked decent against us which is always a good sign.
Plus Comolli said he was scouting in China, then skipping Malaysia, so he could be back in England for Thurs/Friday if he wanted.

A few people have also suggested that personal terms have already been discussed and its just the fee that's the stumbling block. Pinch of salt though.

N'Zogbia would be no improvement on what we already have for a significant amount of money (from what I've seen Wigan want closer to 20m than 10m)

I wouldn't mind N'Zogbia for ~12m, would be nice to have a left footed option and he is class. You can see why Wigan won't wanna sell though, that'd be a one way ticket to the Championship
Considering Whelan reckons that Nzogbia is better than some players that have recently sold for £20-30million, they're probably going to want quite a bit more than £12m.
Did you miss that Utd signed Young? Why would they want N'Zogbia too?

What i found is there are too many morons with a lack of comprehension skills on here. if you read the last page i said he'd be great but not necessarily needed for man utd. but then pressed i can easily show thst he would quite easily slip into our underperforming/weak midfield replacing players that he is far better than who either good a good few games last season or llayers tipped to play a few ganes this season. jesus do you want me to draw you a picture.

Goody Wenger's done a Redknapp and decided to publically say we're not a big club if Nasri and Cesc leave. It sounds to me like Nasri won't sign a contract and Arsenal won't sell him, but he'll walk out on a free next year.
Managers are morons, we'll be a small club if we sell Nasri to a stupid club for WAY WAY over market value, but we'll be fine if we let him walk on a free next year, how utterly laughable. This is him saying he thinks Cesc will go to Barca but keeping Nasri will make a big difference.
How about not offering a mediocre player highest wage status at the club, losing Cesc because he wants to go, and replacing Nasri with a BETTER player. Big clubs get rid of decent players to bring in GREAT players, top 4 clubs do not hold onto average players because they are scared to lose them. Look at old Wenger, Petit, Overmars, titles won, bye bye, and bring in two players who helped secure future titles.
Arsenal are already a small club because Wenger is soooo desparate to hold onto a guy who he acts like he can't replace, thats a non top 4 mentality. Wenger's old mentality would be ditch Nasri and get someone better, and cheaper, and laugh all the way to another piece of silverware.
