Tom is that you? Given the way you value players like skelenberg i don't know how accurate you actually think you are with transfer fees? As whelan came out last week and basically said anyone can have him for 10 million im really nor sure what maths system you are using to calculate these fees?

On the basis that they know we can pay more.

Bigger clubs usually pay more for players simply because the selling club knows they can, this is hardly an alien concept.

Also when I've watched Arsenal, neither Bendtner nor Chamakh have been playing as out and out wingers. There is nothing to stop them moving into the box, especially given how attacking minded the fullbacks are. More often than not its Sagna or Gibbs/Clichy throwing crosses into the box.

Yup it's usually Sagna/Clichy putting the crosses in with the front wide men acting as inside forwards.
 
Not easy to renegade on a statement like i posted on the previous pages though. when he states he can leave for 10 and not a penny less but then does a deal at 9.5 mill i just don't see it at all sorry. yes some clubs jack up the price of an asset they want to keep - but when they know they can't you can get a bargain. Wiganlike us, after we overpaid for valencia in the past - they owed us one i think. plus we could have sent cleverly the other way and dusted 2 birds with one stone. the possibilities were endless for us here.

There are 295 pages in this thread and if you took out all the **** it would end up as about 20 pages max. The rest of it is idiots bickering with each other about unrelated issues. Can we please just ban people if they keep going off on such boring, unnecessary and stupid tangents.

Great so next time when i mention a player or transfer you won't make me drag it out to the Nth degree telling me he will cost this or that or the other and we can all play nicely without having to justify every detail mentioned - especially as I've been seemingly on the correct paths with: skelenberg, zogbia, sneijder, sanchez in the last month so far- either in relation to destination or value.

Doesn't get any bigger than that :p. Wheres our quality striker though? I can see it now 5 minutes before the deadline Carlton Cole joins Spurs. Or did Levy learn his lesson from Raziak panic buy. While we got VDV on the cheap last year I think that was more of a one off, he needs to just get the wallet out.
 
Fulham signed another young midfielder, Pajtim Kasami has joined on a 4 year deal for £2.5-3.5m. Building quite a good young squad now, could do with another 2-3 signings, only got three first team strikers on our books, then its down to 19yo's and younger :(
