Goodness...coming, going, loaning,staying, loaning, staying..

You can't really blame him for rejecting another loan. After a year in Liverpool and then a year in Turin, I'd imagine he just wants to settle down somewhere.

His agent still thinks there's a 50% chance he'll join Fiorentina (didn't say whether that would be a permanent deal or loan) but his agent has said a lot of things over the last few months.

It's just a shame he was ****ed about last summer. As much as I like Meireles, had we not signed him and kept Aquilani last summer we'd have been better off both in the short and long term.

I don't get it whilst Meirelles is an okay player until he scored them goals he wasn't liked this much and Aquaman didnt get a chance to score for us did he? As we loaned him out.

Meirelles also pulls out of far too many tackles for my liking, I don't mind him staying with us but that needs to change.

Whilst I prefer and rate Aquilani higher than Meireles, Meireles was more than okay considering he played in positions he didn't like most if the time, also he there were stats after many matches where he made the most tackles in some matches(mind you I doubt it was many but he isn't the pussy he is labelled), I think he got that label after Rafael jumping two footed at him.

Aqualani scored 2 quality goals for us iirc, Pompey and that class one vs athleti. And was top assisted from January that year (when he basically started getting games) so he didn't really need to score when he was p holing the strings like he's doing in pre season.

I'd rather keep both this year and loan out shelvey, poulsen to retire and keep both and maybe shift raul on next year. Isn't he on cheap wages anyways?

I remember Spurs going in for Diego Capel a couple of seasons ago and getting knocked back despite matching his buy-out clause. Buy-out clauses (a mandatory feature of all player contracts in Spain) seem to only be applicable if the buyer is also Spanish.

Yup, they only apply to Spanish clubs because of the complexity of tax compensation when moving to clubs abroad or something like that.
