Add in Yaya and Silva. Then you also have Dzeko and Balotelli who could yet turn it on in the PL.
Then the solid back 4 we have and it is a combination capable of winning trophies.

they will not win the prem under mancini, infact, i don't know who is capable of managing them to win it. there. i've said it.

I think Aguero will be a great player in EPL shame he chose City but they still dont play well as a team, Take Tevez out of them and you got what Balloteli who has more tantrums than a baby and wants to show off, Dzeko well no one knows how he will turn out for you yet.

Rest of squad isnt even that happy. City SHOULD now focus on players they have buying constantly isnt going to help there squad is more than sufficient to do well.

City are just FM in real life, throwing money at the pitch does not mean success, they are not a team yet, no where near.

it can do, it's sustaining it that's the problem. newcastle, blackburn did it, ferguson's seen them both come and go even boro did it not so long back (branco, juninho etc) but none have sustained it. only chelsea have really kept it up.

How did you work that one out? Or are you referring to the players who aren't even in the first team squad (the ones left behind to train with the kids before they're shipped out ASAP)?

Okay well part of that comment is rage he went to you guys :p But what will be most interesting is if City keep in top 4 next year or you do a spurs entertain and then lose champions league

people seem to forget that city didn't make it as far in the europa as spurs did in the cl, why will this season be any different and city get shown up big time?

Does any club take the Europa seriously? Liverpool could have won it if they wanted I'm sure, club don't play their strongest side. I can't remember who but someone got sent off for Man C in Europe that cost them (Ballotelli?)

Still it's irrelevant comparing the two imo.

What about when Harry basically throws the Europa league because its a waste of time and then goes further in the champs league.

Few if any teams will go into a new knockout competition without a whole lot of experience, and win it. Its not experience of football, its partly new players you won't have often played against before, its partly traveling longer traveling and different quality pitches to get used to, its a bit of everything really. Also being a cup competition you can be the best team in the world and get unlucky and go out early, or the reverse, didn't Spurs lose over half their games in Europe, cup competions= lot of luck to get near the end or win.

People also nicely forget that, the team is undergoing smaller and fewer changes yearly, which leads to a more settled and practiced squad. ANyone saying they can't play as a team is retarded, they've got an excellent defence, a solid central midfield(except Barry), a great striker, several potentially great strikers.

If Dzeko is great but takes a year to settle, he's 6 months closer to doing that, if not City are 6 months closer to replacing him with someone who can make the transistion. Clichy will be a massive improvement, and Toure coming back into the back four will improve them aswell.

Aguero is class, probably Man City's best signing yet. He's not quite one of the best yet but will easily get there with good guidance

The summer transfer window, a time for miss-guided optimism, unfounded pessimism and general muppetry. It's as regular as Liverpool's title challenge ending in September and Arsenal collapse in March.

Really cant wait for the football to start now

Aguero will probably join Real Madrid in two years or so..have they added a clause where he can't be sold to them in the first two seasons? :p

Aguero should have gone to Chelsea, and I'm a Man Utd fan!

City are just FM in real life, throwing money at the pitch does not mean success, they are not a team yet, no where near.

It's not like they finished 8th or 9th last season though is it. I don't think anyone can not say they are genuine challengers for all competitions. Not sure about CL though but they could have a good run.

Chelsea weren't interested in aguero. Maybe if we hadn't bought torres we would have made a bid but we have lots of decent strikers already.

Realistically, the only place aguero could have gone was city - they were the only ones offering the buy-out clause. A really decent player and a great signing for city.
