"very big lad" in what way?

You'd probably eat me is what would happen!

Why would he when Bendtner couldn't get a game upfront last season anyway, when he did play it was mostly on the wing, and when Theo was injured, when Theo wasn't injured Bendtner couldn't get a game.

We're going to lose Bendtner for half as much as he's worth(minimum) purely because we wouldn't play the guy, which makes him join a fairly long list of other players at Arsenal who we lose in the same way.

Well I'm sure Eduardo will happily recommend him "sure go to Arsenal, as long as you bum Wenger he'll pick you no matter how crap you are, me, I was awesome so rarely got played unless someone was injured, I kept scoring, broke my leg and Wenger never gave me a chance after that, almost ruined my career..... Arsenal are great".

Meh, BAE is poo, and I don't think Enrique is anywhere near close to Evra/Baines/Clichy yet, he's miles better than Gibbs/Traore but I'd never have buy such an idiot, money grabbing, complaining, club slagging off pratt.

"I got this sick contract from some previous idiot manager, now they don't want to give me a huge raise because, the seem to think I'm on a silly high contract already, tweet, I was offered a contract but I deemed it wasn't "fantastic" because it only matched my previous stupidly high contract".

We've already had one player who almost crashed his car when he got offered a tiny 55k a week, I wouldn't want to be the club signing him.

Wow that was such a depressing read :(

Are you seriously blaming Arsenal for ruining Eds career?

Guess who has reportedly said the following: 'we have four central defenders, no need for another one'.

Surely an old quote. Because we know they are after players in CB. I would take that as just rumourville.

I hope the Nasri one goes through quickly and we get a replacement in quick.

I hope the Fab deal falls through and he then hates Barca forever :p

You are solid Tubs, your opinion counts:) but is cheets really your brother:eek::confused::D

<33

No he isn't, but it's strange and scary that he's looks so similar.

Tummy you think you can challenge Charlton for the title this season?? Saw the Uchechi loan and it looks like one of those unheard of guys that could end up amazing... Do you want Puncheon on loan too?? :p (we still can't shift the idiot)

Do agree that Newcastle are falling apart (Pards was the biggest clue) as almost all the good bits of the team have started to leave, leaving not all that much...

I hope so, I'm not sure as I think we've started this season with a weaker squad then we have for the past ~ 3 seasons.

I'd take anyone who's half decent on loan and could benefit the squad, we're still in for another striker and a winger. I'd hope for a couple of wingers and a much more attacking midfielder.

Ashley seems to be unable to shift the club in a lump sum so seems set on selling off parts of the club; naming rights, Four best players last season for Newcastle (imho) have all left (Carroll (for the first half anyway), Nolan, Barton (looks set to be leaving) and Enrique)

Pardew is a "decent" manager, I don't think he's anything special and I wouldn't really of thought of him as a Premier League manager but there you go.

Twins the movie

:D

It's a shame to see Enrique go, but why stay at a club with little ambition.

He has been a consistently good performer for us and it's not regular we get a sought after defender.

Depending on what happens with all our remaining players and if we get some decent striker in and maybe see how all these random frenchies work out...

Average. I accept this as a Newcastle fan. The best we can ever hope for again given the way football has gone at the highest level.... between 7th-12th... Certainly think we aren't bad enough to go down

I agree.

BUt we are not exactly in lonely company, for average 7-12 every season see Bolton, Everton, Villa, Fulham, Sunderland amongst others. Like the above we will have the odd moments of "glory" when we get top 8 and maybe a decent cup run but it's a life of mid table tedium from now on :(

If anyone is interested Sheffield Wednesday are on t'tele in a min against Blackpool in the League Cup, so you can all watch my side lose :p

I'm really pretty angry about the whole Nasri/Fab situation, can anyone on here honestly say they didn't see them leaving right before the season started, or even maybe just after, from early July? Wouldn't everyone here in Wenger's shoes have got shot of Nasri for 20mil in a heartbeat and brought in someone to replace him, who would also get to play in preseason and get used to the team, WAY before now.

I can't see how his incompetance can keep going on like this. Fab wanted to go, everyone knew that, why not start negotiating 3 months ago, why not ditch Nasri rather than look like a pratt, why not bring in replacements for both of them 6 weeks ago.

Fabregas I think really has an injury, but MAYBE Wenger got it right and wasn't risking him or having the team get used to playing with him, same can't be said for Nasri. The team, in general very very few players have played more than 50minutes in one go yet, the ones that have, afaik, have played basically one full game while other teams have gotten multiple 70+ mins under their belts. We've already got a half dozen injuries, and the worst players from the team last year, all but one, are still at Arsenal, and Denilson is still on the books even if out on loan.

Could he really have done any worse in the build up to a new season? Months of speculation, inability to beg a player to stay on over double his wages, insisting he'd make a stand on Nasri and caving 2 weeks later, no real replacements for key positions, yet to be a single improvement in any position in the team, and significant step backs at left back and central mid if Cesc goes. God damned joke.
