Wouldn't be surprised if he's said, i'll stay here, and wait till January then you can give me a nice signing on fee instead of forking out 22m for me.

Gives him more time to decide what to spend his money on. To be fair though some people would say the same about Fab(Not me though). Both do have something in common and that is they will both win something this year whether it be CL for Barca or just Carling Cup for City. Both will win something.
 
Wenger needs to go. This summer has been a joke and considering he promised us a 'big summer', it seems like one genuine whizz take. The guy has gone senile and is destroying the club. All started when he completely tore up our midfield and built it around Denilson. Perhaps it's even fair to say it started when we sold Vieira and threw Cesc in the deep end.

I also don't think we'll qualify for the CL this year either. Unforgivable really.

Well he did promise a big summer and he has delivered, just in the wrong direction to what we thought lol

Although it sounds like insanity I hope we sell Nasri and move on. Hazard in, with Cahill and five others? lol

Made me laugh when Kaka was mentioned as a possible signing. Wow are they that hard up on rubbish to put in the paper.

If it were my club and my money I know who I'd want in charge!
Arsenal maybe trophy less for the last few years, but constant Champ league action, constant push for the title with decent cup runs, exciting football being played AND making money......yeah complete destruction of the club :rolleyes:

But if was the same this season you wouldn't get anyone complaining but I don't think anyone can say they are going to be pushing for the title, cups and CL whilst playing super attractive football.

On a business side I am sure the directors are loving him to have done what he has with little out goings (Other than our star players :()

The problem is you're one game away from no CL this year, and looking in real trouble to qualify for next year. Your further then ever from winning the league too. If Arsenal don't sort it out now, it will get harder every season to turn it around.
 
You do realise if we drop out of the champs league we won't be making money, but most likely losing it. Like wise we haven't had a constant push for the title in 6 years no matter what people like to say.

I don't think even the worst team in the league can be officially out of the race until the end of the 20th game at the very worst(ie whoever wins the title wins the first 20 games and the other team loses), thats 20 teams in the title race till Jan minimum, every year, half the teams drop out of official contention by feb, and all but 2-3 within another month. Being officially, mathematically in with a shout isn't a real title push. Aside from a Carling Cup final, we haven't had a very good cup run for years either.

Beating mostly lower league teams until the last 2-3 rounds of a cup isn't impressive, its bog standard, and it was our very realistic runs on the champs league and league that meant we didn't give a monkeys about the other two cups, and the fact we took it so seriously this year suggests exactly what chance Wenger thought we had for the league....... none.

We also aren't playing very exciting football, seriously watch footage of the Newcastle game, or the Udinese, or Liverpool game and compare it to every single game from anytime from 2000-2005, to pretend its the same quality of football and exciting, because we pass, is ridiculous.

This is a man who has basically sold or more often lost a player in every position and replaced with someone worse, every year pretty much for 6 years. Utd, chelsea, Liverpool, they are quite happy to sell good players to TRY and bring in someone better, it doesn't always work out. Wenger used to do it, sold Overmars and got Pires. Now rather than force Overmars out to try and get someone better, the equivilent situation would be Overmars forcing a move out, and Wenger buying, Hleb, for more than he's worth, and thinking the new guy is great.

I think that will be initial wage, but chelsea can afford to pay him more if he does develop quickly, If he is performing as expect then i wouldn't be surprised if next year he's given a very lucrative contract. Where as arsenal would never step above 75k for him.

I think the £55k is his current wage at Valencia, not what Chelsea are offering him. He'll be earning considerably more than that at Chelsea.
