errr take a water bottle with you, as soon as you get there don't bother going into changing rooms, go straight for the jack3d. mix it in bottle and drink.

now relax and talk to some people who work there or something, the gym i used to go to had a internet cafe inside it which was free, so great for killing time.

go to changing rooms and take your time getting changed.

30 mins should have passed by now after downing it and your ready to go.


I never bother getting changed as I go from home during the day time so straight there and back in gym clothes.

Could take a book to read in the car though!

Problem is having it on an empty stomach? I normally train 1 hour after eating.
 
Didnt you know that protein shakes are magic potions that make you huge and muscly even if you dont work out! They even dont have side effects like steroids.

I must be drinking them wrong or something!


you should have set them straight with a bit of knowledge. the reason why people think like this is due to idiots in the gym, they usually like to big themselves up and will say anything to do so.

oh yeah i just started on dat der cell tech, its amazing, im so much stronger, even though they arent taking anything. guy asks him if he can get some off him, oh its like £500 a vial, can you afford that?

there was this idiot who went to my local gym when i used to go there and he would talk to everybody and i mean everybody, he asked a guy for roids and the guy said yeah sure no problem just give me £3k and ill give them to you tomorrow.

or idiots taking protein shakes thinking that they are steroids.


I really couldn't be bothered, would have just ruined my lunch time. :D

It all depends on what you're goals are.

I take BCAAs at the gym because my workouts can take a long time, but I also sometimes don't bother if I've eaten a big meal just before going or if my session is going to be short. Mine are just unflavoured though, so I can't help you there.

I really don't see the point in pump supps though, although I know a lot of people on here like them. I've never used them, and I can't say I've been limited by not having extra blood go to my muscles. Even if I really wanted more muscle mass I probably wouldn't bother (I need to stay in a weight class...).

My goals are size and strength, I eat a pretty good diet at the moment. I tend to stay pretty lean which I think is a good thing.
I have 2 shakes a day and the rest is solid meals. The 1st shake is usually at a gap between meals or an hour or so before the gym. 2nd is PWO.

I've only tried 1 pump supplement and that was jack3d. It had an effect for about 3 sessions and then I didn't feel much after that so I stopped. I reckon I have a pretty high caffeine tolerance (university :p )

So I think that its just the BCAA drink I'm after & write off the pump supplements.
Any advice on BCAA intraworkout drinks?

Jack3d isn't really a pump supplement, it's more of a stimulant.

I think a guy I train with uses Xtend, and I'd trust his judgement. I think I'll always go unflavoured though and just add a small amount of squash.
 
Tried the sample of BPI 1MR I bought the other day, pretty poor compared to jack3d (which I normally only take 1-1.5 scoops). Less energy / focus although also less beta alanine tingles. Glad I only bought the sample and not a tub. Tastes pretty awful too.

Would not recommend to others.

are you sure the sample didn't have a hole in it or anything? 1MR is basically 3 scoops of Jack3d.

Or that's what the consensus is on BodyBuilding.com forums, i have tried samples and they were very good, but so long ago i cant remember exactly what they were like. But i am very stim sensitive.
 
Any recommendations for a subsitute to MPs Super Omega 3 tablets?

Been waiting for ages for them to get some in stock and I'm pretty much all out, I tend to find taking 3 a day really helps with my mood so don't want to go for the high street ones as the DHA/EPA levels are nowhere near those of MP.

I was waiting for these too, every week MP said they were due in shortly but i ended up just ordering 1000 of the normal Omega 3 from them. Take 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening with my dinner :)

I’m currently taking PhD Nutrition Synergy-ISO-7 straight after training. I want to start factoring in a protein shake in the morning too, anyone got any decent recommendations of a decent flavoured no frills protein :)
