Spurs are seriously going to be lacking in depth, surely Harry has something up his sleeve before the end of this window or it's pointless letting them go now??

Spurs have something silly like 29 squad members over the age of 21. They need to reduce their squad size down to 25, otherwise they will be paying the wages of players who they can't play in the Premier League.

EDIT: Spurs in for Kaka, btw. 6-month loan deal.

Just because Cham was in the team when we got more pts doesn't mean he is a good player DM. song was probably is the side too, but you don't think he is good. Stats don't always apply.

Cham has been poor preseason. I do agree with have plenty of 'wingers' that could play up front though. Lol

I think we will need to score at least two goals to get anything out of this game.

Will be shocked if we get anyone useful in now. Need about five players. No strikers/wingers. Might get a defender?!?

You don't even know the meaning of lacking in depth.

I don't?

There's increasing whispers of a record transfer fee before Wednesday. What that's all about, I have no idea.

Kaka??

Do they? Surprising, they have three senior strikers if that and are playing players who were in the Championship last year who didn't even set that alight (Livermore, Townsend etc)

Looks like Grygera is set to join Fulham from Juventus. Not sure how good he is, but hasn't played international football for three years - and Juve fans seem happy hes going. Meh, at least its an experienced player who can play anywhere at the back.

Defoe, Crouch, Pav and Ade. That's four strikers competing for one position (since VdV is guaranteed the second-striker slot). That's too many.

We could have played a much stronger reserve team against Hearts but didn't. We've still got the likes of Jenas, Hutton and Bentley floating around.

Up till 27th November he seemingly played 21 games, and got 11 goals for us, he had a bad december and they basically didn't start a single premiership game until the last game of the season. 5 assists isn't great, isn't bad, he played not at all badly and got goals that helped us win. His hold up play was decent but not brilliant.

It was pretty much only when we stopped giving him starts his form fell to pieces and he only got one more goal, though he did get a couple of assists.

5 new players? Unfortunately 5 new players, if the quality matched who has left, would only put the squad on par with where it was last season, and that wasn't good enough in the first place. We went into the transfer window wanting to replace 5-6 players for BETTER players to actually get the team competitive. We STILL need to replace the 5-6 crap, expensive of sicknote players and we ALSO need to replace the guys who have left.

If you made a list of players ranked best to worst, we should have gotten rid of the bottom 6, instead we got rid of most of the top 6.......... it takes an unbelievably stupid manager to do that.

Forgot about Adebayor.

Those last three players you wan't shot of.

Spurs havent bought any one this season have they?

It goes to show you just how important the Champions League is.

The money they would have got from the champions league (initial 25mill, just for qualifying) would have been at least 1 quality player aqusition.

Look at city. Each one of the new players they have bought is like the 25million champions league golden handshake teams get.

Its cheating really. How can you not do well when you can go out and buy the best of the best endlessly?

I cant see any team this year beating city to the league.

Maybe Man United, but City's squad is deeper and better, so in theory city should prove to have too much stamina in the long run.

Im happy Arsenal are getting a hammering against United.

Wenger needs to be in no doubt that our defence is not good enough.

For too long he says things like "Why do we need to sign center backs when we have already, Djourou, Koscelny, Squilacci, Vermaelan, Miquel and Coquelin"

Koscelny and Vermaelan are the only ones good enough.

Same spin every year. :(

Yawn, another transitional season for Arsenal. :o

I love Harry Redknapp :D

I've just seen his post-match interview with the bbc and he's saying he has no idea what's going on with the Modric and Crouch transfer saga's, yet the other day he's telling everybody the ins and outs of the Nasri switch to City :o

edit: oh and he admitted that Modric wasn't too keen on playing today.
