Only 12 hours now until Spurs' transfer window opens..

lol :p

Wenger to bring in the 16 players I want today....... chances, about -4000%, thats with Song/Diaby/Theo to be sold.

I think something that will make a huge difference to Arsenal is an honest to god real right winger, but yet again this will require Theo to be dropped OR 4-4-2 and Theo upfront. Playing someone so utterly incapable on the right wing hurts us SO badly. Upfront Theo can just run in behind devoid of other duties, on the right wing he needs to be able to get the ball, consistantly from the halfway line to the corner flag, he can not do this 99% of the time. Lennon, SWP, they aren't highly rated because their final ball is a joke more often than not. Theo is the same except he also can't even get the ball into a crossing position most of the time. Defensively, SWP helps out now and then, Lennon does frequently, Theo, barely ever. Got in a shouting match with Jenkinson over Theo failing to cover space at all.

Jenks was frequently doubled teamed at right back, mark one guy, Evra came in and they passed around him easily with Theo standing 20 yards back, still, just watching. Theo is absolutely worthless outside of the opposition box, its costing us soo soo often. Honestly in this squad, the two biggest changes we could make last year in quality anywhere on the pitch were right wing, and removing Song from the midfield trio. Left back became an equally critical position but that looks to have been sorted.

Yeah Walcott shouting at Jenkinson after he was beaten by Evra and Young was a bit rich :p

I actually can't stand Theo's attitude, and utter dumbness.

Write a book where you claim both, "Capello said he'd kill me if I drift inside once more" and "I was confused I don't know what Capello wanted"..........

seriously, he's THAT stupid, just from that I know exactly what Capello wanted, I also know if you want an England career, you don't berate the manager in a book and reveal secrets about your manager.

Its the constantly remarking after a player leaves how he can step up as a striker and lead the team forward.......

Its the shouting at Jenks for being beaten by the best winger in the league, and one of the best left backs(offensively I think he is, defensively he had a horrible game...... and Theo still couldn't do anything actually against him, only when Evra went missing), while Theo just watched rather than helped.

Honestly, its everything about him and I also think a fundamental attitude problem at Arsenal, Theo acts like he's the finished product, with nothing left to learn and no where left to improve. Song, Diaby, Denilson, Djourou all give off this attitude in the way they talk about upcoming/just gone games, how they come out with the same tripe after every loss, the same looking at everyone else when they lose.

I've said for 4 years now, Theo could eventually make a good Owen type forward, ahead of bendtner/RVP/whoever, but in a 4-5-1, he shouldn't be on the pitch, he's just woeful on the wing. Overmars, Pires/Freddie/Wiltord/Reyes, great players, Hleb, pretty terrible in comparison, compared to Theo... Hleb looks world class, and he couldn't even get a game at Brum.

good signing? it's ridiculousness of redknapp proportions

Also as I've been saying for several months, theres no such thing as a pay as you play, its paid, + more if you play. So Hargreaves will get paid, I would think he'll be on at least 20k a week, so even if he's not fit all year thats 1mil out the window(to them nothing, to Arsenal/sane teams, a lot) and if he gets paid more at City I think that will be a bit of a silly amount extra.

Thats why players like him are nuts to give another shot if you care about money at all(unlike City/Chelsea), personally I think it will also be more of a paid + paid when you're fit and able even if you don't get picked kind of deal.

Then again, Richards seems to get injured a lot and Hargreaves can slot in all over the place, I still wouldn't bother though.

what happened to hargreaves was unfortuanate. he seems like a decent bloke but the fact only city and their bottomless pit of money have signed him says a lot. says more about city though, how on earth can they think they need him? who is calling the shots on these signings i wonder...

Hargreaves if he can prove his match fitness could prove to be a great signing.
He is certainly worth the risk in trying as we are short in midfield and when Yaya goes AOC and if Milner for example got injured we would be left with very low numbers.

I highly doubt he is on 20k basic. He will be on probably half of that with a 20k for playing or something.
If he proves he can play then next season he will get a proper contract with get outs if he becomes seriously injured.

It's like Mancini said, more the merrier, it's not like Hargreaves and the like are going to get upset if they don't play when they're on wages as high as they are. He's basically replacing Viera who played a handful of games last season but did well when he came in.

Balague saying Hazard has handed in transfer request to join Arsenal.

Jerome is at Stoke having his medical.
