You don't need 16 for gaming, but you may need it for your other work.

I was just saying its better to get the 8Gig kit of memory rather than the 4Gig kit the more the better. If you do go 16gig then get 2x8gig sticks its better for your memory controller and overclocking.

Mine arrived yesterday, slapped the pc together and it worked first time!

Love it when a plan comes together, i love the bios..also its so quick and quiet too!

Not too keen on some of the heatsinks but overall the construction is very good, always used to buy Abit and its been hard to find a replacement

Just got the CPU cooler and memory in too, sooo close.

Will start the OC tonight

Stupid question, but will SATA2 (3Gb) HDDs work in SATA3 (6Gb) ports? I have a 1TB HDD, and a 60 GB SSD. Would it matter which ports I use? Whats the difference between the intel and the marvell ports? Are they just two similar spec'd SATA controllers?

Hi

I put together one of these with a Thermalright Venomous X and 4 sticks of Kingston RAM last night.

It fits perfectly although any RAM with higher heat spreaders than the Kingston definitely won’t fit.

After a lot of hours on various forums it appears that this board maynot support an 8x8x4 pciex config....unless you are actually using 3x graphics cards,

I took out the second graphics card today and tried the pc but still got slow writes on the revo. I then moved it to the second pciex slot and it ran at full speed.

I am in the process of trying to find out if this is a faulty motherboard...or if it is normal.

as for drivers/bios....I have all the latest installed.

if this cant be solved it looks like a change for me...either sell the revo and get a normal ssd...or maybe sell graphics and get 1 card.....not happy as it clearly states on the website that it supports x8x8x4 pciex
