YES!
This was actually one of the first things I notice compared to the previous game. In 2010 I always used it and found that once you go to know the track, you could brake a little later than the line was showing.
I've found in the new game that on some corners, it tells me my speed is fine, but it's clearly too much.![]()
I have heard the PS3 is practically ruined.
Thats why i have got it on PC rather than Xbox or PS3. On PC using my GTX 460 it is silky smooth on every track so far.
Hi - did you have to calibrate your steering wheel with the game? This is the Gameracer seat and the Fanatec 911 GT2 wheel.
Just about to start an online coop session last night.

It feels amazing to be honest. I have wanted one for years and years when I used to race on the PC. Yes they are expensive but it more than makes up for it.
The wheel is incredible. I had an old Logitech Momo (Black), at the time i thought it was good but the Fanatec wheel is a whole new level. Very responsive and the feedback is awesome. Whether its subtle bumps to full on gravel traps or over steer & under steer. The pedals are the standard version, there are better pedals available from Fantec, but not at a price i wanted to pay.
The Seat etc just give the whole package more immersion. Plenty of scope for adjusting for people of all shapes and sizes. Its very well make and the whole thing weighs in around 20kg. It took me around 2-3 hours to get my ideal driving position, now i have it its all locked in place. I absolutely love it.
If people are considering the wheel - dont. Just go and order it now. Do make sure you have a stable platform to clamp the wheel too.
As for the seat, I would say go for it. It does kind of pack away in a portable size, but probably not enough to leave it in your living room etc. Well worth the price but it is expensive.
The whole lot just makes F1 2011 (and any driving game utterly brilliant. Im so glad i bought them, I cant imagine going back to a pad anymore.

I suppose not ruined then....damn friends! There is some noticeable screen tear when in the pits or during some of the replays, its not too bad. The graphics on my Panasonic 1080p plasma do somehow look a bit better then the 720p TV upstairs - which is a tad odd as i've never noticed it before..
I've played the PC version and the graphics on the PC are nothing short of mindblowing compared to the PS3, however the 360 pad on PC is woeful and its nigh on impossible to control the car without any aids on... I honestly can't believe the vast difference on controls from the PS3 to PC. Its like two whole different games..
I can see why folks don't bother with PC gaming as much these days (Controversial statement no doubt) however I spent about 2 - 3 hours of installing, configuring and tweaking to get to a first race on the PC, with the PS3 it was up and running within less then 10 minutes and still plays better with a pad compared to the PC. PC looks awesome, just takes a bit of tweaking to make it playable..
I guess the PC version would be wicked with a wheel, overall the game is good but the PS3 is by far the weakest graphical game I’ve seen from codemasters which is a shame, as F1 2010 did look fairly nice.
The safety car showed itself with a race last night, it works well. Like the addition of flag waving, but I still don’t like how you can’t watch the AI drive around the tracks… Big feature that should be in a game like this..

3hrs? to install, configure and tweak? Takes 10mins if that to install and then away you go. What were you configuring? or tweaking?
Lulz...I have the PC version with a 360 pad. Was playing it instantly thanks to pre-loading
I have all assists off apart from manual gears, not noticed any real difference over playing the 360 version, no harder nor easier.
Gamepad for the PC, using a 360 pad it took some tweaking so as I didn't crash soon as I turned the wheel.. also graphics settings tweaking etc, took a good few hours and even then wasn't able to race without some challange as gamepad was twitchy on the PC.
PS3 version handles much better or so it seems to me. I've heard other reports on the net about the PC version and 360 pad handling being twitchy.
