Just did an online race, seemed like the first corner is just everyone smashing into each other, then pole and 2nd zoom off and everyone else gets points
Somone smashed into the side of me while overtaking and i got a penalty
Was this just a bad race? please dont tell me this is how every race is
that's how every race goes sadly
sprint races are worse
Did the second race earlier this evening, start raining towards the end of the race so I tried to be tactical and change to Intermediates. Rain didn't get much heavier for a while so I switched back to Primes, only for a downpour to happen. Lost my 1st place lead and ended up taking 3rd, grr!
Really struggling to put in consistently good laps. I'm on Melbourne and keep losing traction and the back end. It's such a fine line between fast, and oh f$%&* it I've spun and smashed my wing. Getting a bit frustrated now. Still on practise but don't want to attempt qualifying until I can put a few good laps together!
Are you putting your DRS when you go around corners? DRS should only be used on straight runs or coming out of a turn at the last second to gain faster shifting.
Yea, I learnt that lesson! some of the slower corners I turn in, apply throttle carefully then I'll lose the arse and spin. Normally the last corner, so annoying! I'm using the lower of adaptable setup. Can't see how to adjust front wing, etc separately.
I'm using the XBox steering wheel so maybe my settings are out. Has anyone changed their settings from default for this wheel?

Just thought I'd share this review, yet another F1 review that has been done by someone with no clue about Formula one in the slightest, even more comical are the clips of him playing and where he moans about the car spinning out when you can clearly see him going around a sharp corner with DRS enabled

He was talking about graphics not layout, what he meant was the tracks in the game from last year just look near enough the same so you know what to expect, other than the 2 new tracks
To be fair to codies they really did do a great job of the circuits from last year. Don't think much of that could have been improved. To me they have sorted out the most important part of a racing game and that is the physics.
Nothing more exciting than bombing around Monaco only for the last lap to have little to no rear grip in the tyre. Great fun.

It is insanely fun trying to get around the track with destroyed tires. I was on Malaysia with 3 laps to go & the engineer told me to come in. No chance with only 20secs between me & the guy behind, Stayed out driving real careful finished 15th in the Lotus

Ah ok, I didn't realise he was comparing it to the previous game. Carry on.
Haven't seen it yet on the PS3 version, but then been playing the PC version and I've seen the SC a few times and you basically follow it around, game auto brakes if you go too fast, its a bit scripted but seems to work ok ish..
Does seem if you're at the back of the grid, catching up takes a lap too much, I was in 14th and SC was deployed, it took me two whole laps at full pelt to catch up, which to me didn't seem quite right??? I was confused..
Wow... I'm absolutely p***** at the minute.
Here I am at Kuala Lumpur, final lap on 20% on pole, I check the map to see where Webber is and brake too late, go over into the gravel and get back on quick enough to claim second.. I'm absolutely livid!
Though he tried to overtake me several times which he failed to do as I'd close the corner in before he could take over but it's awesome seeing someone close in and nearly knowing they're going to overtake you!
I also loved hearing "Your beating webber 3 seconds per lap", while sitting in a Marussia Virgin car!
This game is so good!
