********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

Them tariffs are very worrying on the Orange website. Silly prices. It's better to pay Apple out right for the phone and put a sim in.

I've just done some maths. I'm on an O2 £20 p/m SIM Only 30day rolling contract (was on the £35 p/m when the iPhone 3G came out), and want the 64GB one.

£20 p/m x 2yrs + £700 SIM-free unlocked handset price = £1180 total.

If I change to Orange and take out a £36 p/m contract for 2yrs (either 300 minutes + 1GB data, or 600 minutes + 500MB data) it's cheaper:

£36 p/m x 2yrs + £270 subsidised handset price = £1134 total.

But buy the phone direct from Apple and put a Sim card in with more mins and more texts and better data. People who can't afford to purchase out right will be getting ripped off big time.

The thing is your not going to stop on a £20.00 a mont tariff for 2 years if your on a rolling contract. It will be cheaper to keep jumping from networks to get better value.

That's how I do it. I'm on £10 a month, iPhone 4 600 mins, all I can eat data and unlimited texts for £10.00 no contract Tmobile. Can't say better than that can you? I know were talking about an iPhone 4S here but the hardware in the iPhone 4S isn't a need to upgrade from a 4.

Yup, thats what i did with my ip4, i got the old iphone o2 simplicity contracts so i'll still rolling with unlimited data lol :D

I ordered the white in 16Gb flavour. Then cancelled it as 16gb prob isnt gonner be enough for 1080p. Then ordered the white in 32Gb.

All working here for me.

The thing is right is it not that most people are using everything on data these days who have smart phones. SMS is used very little as people are using Facebook, Ping Chat, BBM e.t.c to communicate. I only use SMS for when the signal goes now these days.

Can't that was the offer that was available at the time of purchase. It was on the Tmobile website a while back.

As a valued customer of O2 I get a similar deal!

Unlimited date (although slower after 1gb)
Unlimited texts
Unlimited landline calls
600mins + additional 200mins all x network

£15 a month ;) and I got a £50 burtons voucher :D

Does anyone know - do Orange normally offer Friends and Family discount on the iPhone? Will it be available from the start?

Thanks.
