Just the US at the moment, Apple store purchased phone will be unlocked. Apple have indicated that they will be selling unlocked 4s's in the US in November

In fairness, upgrading from the 3G/GS will be amazing for those that do. I struggle to understand how you guys coped for so long though!

I'm on a 3G still, i've been tempted to throw it at the wall so many times. iOS4 screwed it and apps updated too much for them to be usable. This is why i can't wait for my iPhone 4S lol.

I feel your pain! Nothing like waiting 20seconds for the address book to open. Or an app crahing 5 times in a row. Tempted to flash mine back to an earlier OS and just use it as a backup phone. Bit reluctant to sell it to the cashback sites, I've looked after it so well the thought of a greasy chav using it makes me feel ill.

Wondering what to do with my 32GB 3GS. It's in great condition but the phone recycling places are only offering £141 for it. By the time eBay has taken its share, I'm not sure if I'll get much more if I auction it either.

Pure patience and perseverance.

My 3GS really is on its last legs and cannot wait to get the 4S next week

On a side note since the 4S got announced a few days back I've been umming and arring whether to wait and hold out for next week to see whats announced by Google and Samsung (Galaxy Prime or w/e) but thankfully I made the right decision by buying it this morning as they have now cancelled this event, whether it be as a sign of respect to Steve Jobs or whatever.

Me. I phoned and they said the order had gone through but no email and no money out of the bank (Debit card) is worrying.

Not had an email either, ordered at 8.40 this morning.

Checked with my credit card co this morning all fine there.

All it said on my account status was processing & now i cant check my account details keep getting the back soon page

Is it just me that can't see this being all that popular?

I'm not a betting man, but I reckon within a couple of days of launch I'd be able to walk into an Apple store and buy a 64GB 4S without a problem. Or am I underestimating the number of people willing to part with £700 for a cell phone?
