i guess im going to have to wait, or call last thing friday and ask about levels
im going to have to buy from them as if i do what i was planning to do with O2 i would end up signing another 24 months then missing IP5, and we cant have that

Yes indeed, I think you would be mad to sign 2 year contracts on phones. Buy it sim free and sell it before the next one.

^ Who, knows - It depends on how many phones you local stores receives and how busy it is.
My guess based on the speed of the online sell out in the UK and US is that it'll be less likely they will have any.

Just spoken to O2 and they do 12months at £46 (600 mins, unlimited texts, 1gb) with the 64gb at £369.99 total of £921

Or I can stick my simplicity sim in at £21 a month buy outright £700 = £952

Think I might just buy it outright! £30 isn't much of a saving lol

I'm pleased it wasn't a major bump as I may have coerced myself into believing I needed one. Quite happy with the 4.

Of the new features I rarely use the camera anyway. I'm not much of an iOS gamer and the apps I do use run fine so don't need the CPU bump. As for Siri it looks/sounds like the most awesome feature I would never use.

Out of contract since June so enjoying my cheap 3 tariff for another year ready for the iPhone 5 in 2012.

So with no redesign its a no brainer to stay with the 4 for me.

Yea I'll be doing the outright thing again, as I am on the old iPhone simplicity plan where I get unlimited data.

Yea i was on that but came off when then offered me 800mins unlimited text unlimited landline mins 1gb data (not limited just slower after) and a £50 voucher for £20 a month! Not to bad

I'm an 02 contract customer, I've ordered a sim free phone from Apple. How do I get a micro sim and make the switch?

1) Order a micro sim from o2.
2) Cut your sim yourself or get a sim cutter.

You can cut your old sim down to fit or order a micro sim from o2 and transfer your number across.

I'm not sure exactly but they are considerably bigger. Even a short video will soon get through 200MB.

Since i sold my ip4 ive been using my wifes 3g. All my IP4 apps and music contacts etc etc are backed up on the computer, but im about to sell the computer and buy a laptop. If my computer sells before I get the 4s what do I need to take off my HDD to ensure all my apps, music, etc etc is safe ready to load onto laptop then sync with 4S ?

Copy the iTunes folder, and also the iphone backup folder.

That is: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

Also de-authorise iTunes before you wipe it, and then authorise the new iTunes (on new comp) after.

I'm kind of in the same boat (moving to an iPhone for the first time). I noticed tesco sell O2 sims for 99p.
Can I just buy one of those to do the number transfer with? Are they micro SIM?

For people buying the sim-free version of the 4S and are 02 customers wanting Micro-Sim all you got to do is ring them up and they will send you a micro-sim out which you will get the next day.

Thats what i did yesterday and got the micro-sim this morning!
