@ people complaining about Amazon, to be fair they "normally" post things within good time, it's just your local postal service that will let you down 
The only time I've ever not recieved anything from Amazon on the day of release was due to poor couriers.

I had mine ordered with Amazon for months, saw it hadn't been shipped by Wednesday afternoon. So i canceled with Amazon and went with Shopto, had it sitting on my doormat at 1pm Thursday afternoon less than 24hours later.
Won't be pre-ordering with Amazon again.

Same. Ordered with Amazon expecting it to be here today. No sign at all even though the delivery estimate is today.
The price did start at £27.99 at first launch but then went up, back down now. Can't wait to get my copy

Yup i'd go with Shopto, only ever had one game not appear on Launch but it came the day after on a Saturday. That's out of i'd say 16 or so pre-orders.

Amazon stated within the last six weeks (via email in my case) that pre-orders without first class delivery wouldn't arrive on day of release. Guess you are lucky if yours turned up, I refuse to pay first class so cancelled my pre-orders with them.
I've had a mass email from SimplyGames apologising to those who haven't received Skyrim today. On my way home but assuming mine aren't there.

Me neither. But considering I got it for a touch over £19, I'm happy to wait a little longer.
Makes it even more right, surely? Best case scenario is delivery on day of release via first class. However if lots of super saver customers got theirs today....

Might be laughable to you, but the two copies I've just this minute ordered will save me $$ and will arrive tomorrow as a Prime customer.
Oh FFS! I've weakened and cancelled one copy from the rainforest ppl and am downloading it from Steam right now.
Want to get some playing in before the missus comes back on Sunday.
