****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

tried that still no luck.. only got this problem since rooting only seems to happen with rom premium manager.. other apps download fine

Take it as a sign that you shouldn't use the app ;):p.

Are you planning on using CM7? Because it doesn't work with stock Samsung ROMs afaik (or it might be ROMs that have an old version of CWM Recovery, which most stock based ROMs do have). You should get the CWM app made by Chainfire if you're using stock based ROMs (it's free too, on XDA). Actually, it should have came with the CF-Root kernel you flashed to get root :).

I still prefer doing things manually though, just as quick when you have Advanced Power Menu :).

Question - does the standard navigation app on the SGSII pre-cache the maps on a route, or does it need to download on the fly?

I seem to recall on older Android phones it needed to download on the fly, has that changed now?

The new Google Maps app lets you cache 10x 10 square mile sections, it'll need to download the rest :)

Its a special edited version by three i believe, i get H+ where i never have before, its really good :)

I can vouch for this.

Normally at my friends house I'd only get 1 bar of normal signal & intermittent H+ signal. Yesterday it was stuck rock solid at 3 bars of normal signal & rock solid on H+ when it was needed.

At home 4 bars constantly & H+ constantly, Before it would go between 3/4 bars & switch between 3G & H+ a lot.

So far so good will keep testing.

Just rooted this....

im having a big problem driving me nuts!

im trying to download rom manager premium ive purchased it but... it just gets stuck on starting download and doesnt actually download?

any way around this?

Got to say, This is my 1st smartphone and after getting my new white s2 a couple of days ago, I was like, OMG this awesome, Just cant get my head around the speed of this thing and all of it`s functions!! Just simply amazing!

The O/H got a Iphone 3gs when her contract fininshed and I thought "yeah it`s good at what it does" blah blah and when I got the s2, I looked at hers and then looked at mine and just laughed, rather smuggishly to myself....Is she envious....hell yeah!!! She thinks by getting the Iphone 4s will put her on par with the s2....Is she right??

Yeah, she's right.

Unless she wants a larger screen like the SGS2 she's probably right for her uses (I'm guessing most women don't want to be able to do all the customising/tweaking that's available on Android) :).

Didnt really feel like making a new thread, so thought I'd whack it here.

My phone won't sync properly with my music collection, and using transfer to device does sod all.

When it syncs it gets to 80% and then stops, as the memory is full - problem is, I have 4.85GB of music and the onboard alone is 11GB...

When I click Transfer to Device it comes up in the Task Manager but quite literally does nothing else.

Any ideas?

Still an issue.

Slight update is that media scanner doesn't seem to detect any .mp3s - or any other media files for that matter, after using the USB Mass Storage method.

Any ideas/help? Getting quite annoyed now - <3 mah music :(

I had this to begin with. Are you unplugging it after transferring music and then letting it scan?
