Also watched this recently, very good film. Think I'd rate it at an 8 but I'm generally very hard to please so I'm not surprised you rated it a 9.

Not seen it but in the early Ufc days fighters had to go through 3 fights in one night to win the title, and several promotions still have tournaments with say 2 semis and a final in one night. Not as often as they used to but i can see it happening underground.

Agreed, was much better than the third film. I can see Cruise milking this now for a few more films.

I watched Terminator 2 last night, it was on ITV2. One of the all time greatest films ever. Two killing machines slugging it out in slick action scenes in a time where CGI were bare bones. All the chase scenes be it on foot or on the highway are just sublime.
Not enough praise for Terminator 2 I tell ye. I'd dare rate it as a better sequel than Godfather II. I'm aware it's 'just' an action movie, but that sort of thinking and conditioning that we have towards action movies are all from the dreadful tat of the last twenty years. They just don't make them like they used to anymore.

KING Kong a few days ago and Dumb and Dumber last night.
KING Kong is a solid 6.5/10 a good movie with solid premise through out and very well executed cinematic's, the only let down for this movie besides his exceptional effort is jack black, he does his role well but really he should never have been cast, far to light hearted!

Absolute classic, whats can i say about this movie except Carey at his best.... What more can he do! 8.5/10

But then how is the matrix or deception in the slightest bit believable
and I thought it was a bit like those two. Albeit in a slightly different manner. And not as goodIt doesnt entirely rely on hats, its just the way they control the power
