Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

I dont work for them, but am lucky enough to be on good terms with one of the managers there who's an absolutely top guy. I'm considering selling mine and upgrading to OB1i with the same modifications, but I need to have a serious sit down and work out if that's affordable hehe :)

As for their price, when you appreciate what you're buying a bit more it's understandable why they cost so much. Each pair is handmade from the ground up. Also every single component is measured to tolerances that are in engineering terms on a par with F1 cars. Should your speakers ever break or go in for servicing your file is pulled up and then any replacement parts are fitted with the same values so your speakers are totally identical after the fix. :) They're expensive yes, but they're bloody worth it, and they hold their vale too.

There is a pair of FB1 on eBay atm, the guy mentioned about the last pair went for £570. I expect he will take something in that region.

Think they are worth £550?

Spares for the originals are now running extremely low, so should anything need attention you'd be stuck. They may be cheap but they would be expensive ornaments if you had an accident.

Also, personally I prefer the sound of the soft done tweeter, so that would mean FB1+ or higher.

Might be an idea to get used to your new set-up first before getting an itching for an upgrade ;)

You are right of course, as currently all my speakers have te same sonic signature being all the B&W so changing 2 of them might make music better but ultimately ruin the surround sounds :)

Awesome and beautiful set-up! I guess the fronts are the RX8?

lay-z-boy where is that TV cabinet from?

I need a smallish white TV cabinet that can hold a HTPC and a few other things. Looks the right size and colour for me.

Thanks.

Ikea, was around £30-35 iirc. It's actually a wall shelf unit with the rear panels removed. There are 2 or 3 versions with the difference being height and how many shelves you get.

Lol, a fair question! It normally does cover the wire but we have a very active rottweiler puppy that likes to barge into heavy things to try and move them
