Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

Kei can you fix my amp as remote sensor has just gone in my yamaha DSP-AX759SE 7.1 amp:mad:, or give me a clue how to fix it.
Sorry phil, I might be skilled enough with soldering, but i'm not particularly hot on finding and repairing faults. Could be as simple as the IR receiver in the amp no longer working or the IR emitter in the remote not working.

Hi there, really like your stand that you have for your TV. By any chance do you remember where you got it from? Also how long is it and how high is the shelf?

Thanks very much :D

Hi,

It's the Ikea lack as someone found above! Not sure on dimensions but they should be on the link.

Just about managed to squeeze it into a Ford Fiesta but had to drive with head at an angle :p

Its not the remote as I use the logitech 600 remote, and Ive tried the original remote for the amp, but its still dead. It came back to life about 2weeks ago and then died again about 2days later

They are indeed:
Assembled size
Width: 149 cm
Depth: 55 cm
Height: 35 cm
Max. load: 65 kg
Max. screen size flat screen TV: 50 "

Oh and be careful about Amp size if you are thinking about using the bottom shelf as you will find it not very high and most types of Amp will not fit in, hence me modding mine to allow my Yamaha to sit on top shelf.

Cheap setup I know but it works:

Sony DA2400ES A/V receiver.
Sony SS-A20 fronts.
Z5500 center speaker (on the amp).
Jamo S426 Rears. ( Multi stereo mode I use for music, I'd love them as fronts but no space)
Z5500 Control pod & sub on the pre-out port as subwoofer.
Link is linear PCM over HDMI 24bit 44100 Hz ( any higher and Skyrim crashes randomly :()

Also got HD555's but tbh barely use em since I dumped the Z5500 sattelites for the Sony's and Jamo's.

Blimey, 3 sets of Monitor Audio RX6's on the same page, these things are getting popular!

Looks ace Nick1881, interesting choice of centre speaker colour, I like what you did there!

It is indeed an XLS400 with foam and granite underneath and some spare sat on top, don't think it's made much difference though, my floor is concrete under the laminate.

Thanks Crizzy, it sort of happened by chance, I got the L&R first at a price I couldn't refuse, then bought the centre later, it was used but in perfect condition. I'm pretty happy with it looks wise and the sound is amazing.
