Just tell her it's an iPad 2, that you picked up on the cheap now prices are downAfter all, it doesn't say 'iPad 3' anywhere, she doesn't need to know
She's down with the technology, would never get it past her unfortunately and she knows I'm an absolute sucker for new gadgets, especially as I was telling her I didn't want the 3 tonight, haha.
I thought you said somewhere earlier that you talked yourself out of getting one! I guess you talked yourself back in
I had ( a few hours) and I did (took about a minute when someone said they had placed an order).

with the 4s i got £20 cashback coz i ordered 2... don't know why u struck out though 
Not got mine yet but it is in my order history. Someone said they waited 30 minutes for the email to come through a few posts back.

Question before I order, Apple smart cover or has someone done better ones for less than the price of the leather ones?

Disregard. Going to get a slip case and a portable stand. I think the smart cover might get a bit annoying after a while so better to have something separate.
32GB Black ordered for £464.40.
Scratch that, cancelled and went for the 64GB @ £542.40. 1080p is gonna eat storage.
Not excited by iPad 3. Slightly faster, a mobile standard we can't use (4g) and a 5mp camera. What content will be available at native res? (no videos, how many 2k films can the massive 64gb storage hold?). I love the idea of 2k movies, but what would your dl speed need to be to stream them?! Also the iOS games are like cigarettes, I enjoy them for about 5 minutes then it's over. Almost as disappointing as the 4gs for me.
Will no doubt sell like hot cakes and all the isheep will be queuing outside apple shops world wide (I too am an isheep). Everybody used to rightly hate ms for its stranglehold on the pc market, but the iPad/phone is even more closed off. I wonder if the windows 8 tablets will open up the tablet market and force the kind of competition that will push things on again.
