Exactly, imagine rocking up to the Home Cinema forum and posting about a £2k media system consisting of a 12GB HD, a 10.2" screen and some software packages.
You'd be laughed off the forum :D

Yet, because it's in a car we should accept such ridiculous pricing

The best thing is that it's actually not a 12Gb HDD, it's much bigger - upwards of 80gb, but they've only formatted a small amount of it and an even smaller amount is available for music. Totally bizarre.

Nobody has them in SE trim anyway they are almost all Sport.

Wrong - the most popular trim level now is EfficientDynamics as almost all 3 Series are company cars and its the most tax efficient. With the F30 the EfficientDynamics model dips under 110g/km of CO2.

ED appeared in 2010 with the E90 and has been the most popular model, displacing M Sport, since then when it comes to 320d's.

Its all about the co'2s and Coompany car drivers nowadays:(

One thing I dont like about a lot of modern cars, is the pop up display, i think it looks tacky, do they do a F30 with the screen embedded into the dash I much prefer that.

I think the F30 is a nice car, and had the tourer been out, it would have been my next car, but alas it wasnt to be:p

Why would you ever want to hide the screen?

You wouldn't, but his point was that it looks like a pop-up display as per current Z4 and the previous generation 1 Series/Z4. It just sort of sticks up and doesn't seem part of the dash. Whereas in the F10, it's an integral part of the dash itself which looks much cleaner and nicer.

It's like someone has smashed an iPad into the dash tbh, and walked away thinking job well done. It's positioned to the driver slightly, which is quite nice I suppose.

I have to say I've turned it off more often than not as it doesn't really tell me anything I need to know, until I need to know, at which point i'll turn the dial and it's back to life anyway.

Regarding the nav/HDD music - I'd rather keep one device upto date than lots - which is why integrating my iPhone would be important - its what I've done with most rooms and devices in my house.

This pack looks much better. I guess it's the M sport pack along the usual BMW trim line?

Those Xenons make that car look so much better.

Want!

Quite. I don't understand why so many people seem to find the extra cost on the, what £30k+ cars they are buying too much for Xenons. It isn't even all about the light output, it's about the fact that with the 1 and 3 Series if you dont have Xenons you get those awful looking reflector lenses - even when switched off the fact Xenons = projector give the front end a much better look.

This is why Xenons are less important on the F10 - you get a projector as standard anyway.

I'm drooling right now. I'm also thinking expensive thoughts. I have a 2 year old, paid off, Polo which will easily tide me over until the F30's second hand market has a few years to mature.
