It was just really comically bad defending from Bolton, nothing special other then carrying the ball quite a distance.

Indeed, people saying 'if Messi had done it we would remember it forever', he literally kicked the ball infront of him in a straight line for 60 yards the entire way into the net.

Nothing special about it bar the defending.
 
^^ Pretty much agree with the above, the way it was built up I was expecting something special! Nice goal, but just woeful defending!

If Gerard or carroll(in fact scratch carroll he couldn't do that)had done that dogleash and everyone would be creaming about it for weeks to come saying it was the best goal they had ever seen
 
Was great goal. The control, pace, calm finish and beating 4 players was great. As others said if it was a top 4 player this thread would be going mental about it :p
 
Upto the shot it was brilliant to ride the tackles and not loose control (even despite the cronic defending of atleast one player barely moving)

The shot itself was average, very well placed right in the corner,but nothing more than that

ride tackles? which tackles? he just literally kicks it and runs. It's no Michael Carrick run from the halfway line... ;):p

It's a very good goal but not the omg best goal of the season that some people have said. The initial turn is very nice but after that the defending is not even atrocious, it's just not there.
