UKIP move up to third in polls....

im still waiting for a party to come along that does less instead of always trying to do more. Less tax, less spending, less laws, less interference, less governing. Let people get on with their lives instead of trying to control everything...

They might not all want a full on withdrawal from the EU but they want to see an increase in British sovereignty.

Annoyingly the majority of people think that sovereignty actually matters.

UKIP are just a bunch of literate, petty racists. It annoys me that they are allowed to claim to have any support because all they will ever do is say stupid things that have nothing to do with the reality of the world.

Ukip have NOTHING to do with BNP in any way, shape, fashion or form

Pack it up

Other than the blacks out bit of the BNP "literature" UKIP more of less have the same themes of where we can magic our money from if we bury our heads in the sand and pretend that a state can exist in solitude.

They have a lot in common and its very embarrassing that they are considered the main "protest" or "alternative" votes

If they don't get at least one seat in the next election I'll be very disappointed.

They are the only party that might actually make changes, rather than just continuing with the LibLabCon agenda of getting as rich as possible in 5 years with no regard for the consequences to the country.

Why do you think that? What have they done/said/proven to make us think that they'd be anything but a pushover and as much a group of liars as the rest?

They aren't xenophobic. They think that all the countries of Europe are good, which is why they think they shouldn't all be merged together and lose their national identities. UKIP has nothing against Europe, only the EU, which is not the same.

...and being inherently racist?

In what way?

I will be voting UKIP at the next election. It will be the first time I have voted against the Conservative party.

I don't consider myself to be anything other than a natural Tory but that party doesn't exist at the moment.

Must admit that I'm tempted to jump ship to UKIP as well. I'm in the same position as you.

The latest poll I've been looking at does not show that UKIP is up to third ahead of the LibDems.

The latest poll shows:

Conservative 33%
Labour 42%
Liberal Democrat/Liberal 11%
Scottish National Party/SNP4%
Plaid Cymru 1%
Other 11%

The over 60 vote is actually 65+ in this one.

Detailed poll is here:

It's a case of my poll is better than yours. ;)

Haha, love it.

Please say how well or badly you think the coalition government is doing so far overall?

Very well - 2%
Very badly - 24%

Why do they class UKIP as 'other' when they had (slightly, still 4%) more people vote than SNP I wonder...

UKIPs biggest problem is that the media seem to detest them

I havnt seen any valid reason why the UKIP are branded as racist.

They want a temporary 5 year halt on immigration while the economy is fixed. They oppose joining the EU and signing up to anything it requires.

I dont see any racism in that, or in anything I've seen in any UKIP videos, speeches or policies.

Please tell me why people think it is a racist party? Because I've been supporting the UKIP for a year or two now and havnt seen it, they clearly arent anything like the BNP which people keep accusing them of being.

Oh wait ... They support the Burka ban!!! How did I forget about that? /Votes UKIP +1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1.

Scary how many people would still vote Labour. Short memories it seems.

I'd rather have Labour back than keep the Tories.

ok heres a question, ignore all the rampent party politics for once on here and name calling but who else can people vote for besides the main 3 partys who lets be honest are getting rather hard to tell apart now.

ukip ?

the greens ?

and who else ?
