Ah, yeah I have just been looking at some unboxing videos and they mentioned a micro sim, So i will wait and see. I guess the new micro sim they send will be using my current number?

For anyone who wants to check if they've got it, make sure you're on auto brightness or full brightness, go to the battery use screen daz has screenshotted above and press on the graph. This will open out into a full page graph of mainly grey. On my screen said grey is strobing like an old CRT.

Did you receive a new phone and did it sort the issue out?

I can see a slight flicker / shimmer on mine. The wife can't see it.

However slightly concerned that if I send it back I might get something back with worse issues.
 
Had my HTC One X for a week now and last three days I've been having delayed texts and lots of people telling me they can't call and it's going straight to answering machine. It's a sim-free phone and I have a sim-only plan with T-Mobile. My message centre number and apns are all as they should be and I can call out, or use data, just fine.

After a bit of experimentation I've found that the texts and calls come through fine if I go into 'Network Mode' and select 'GSM Only'. If I switch it to 'WCDMA' or 'GSM/WCDMA auto' the problems return. Anyone else experiencing similar issues? Is this a problem with the new micro-sim, a network issue or the phone's radio?

Naturally, Carphonewarehouse, whom I bought the phone are telling me to call T-Mobile and T-Mobile are suggesting it's the phone. Any ideas, please?

Edit: Apart from the sms/call issues the phone itself is the best phone I've had, or played with. Battery life is a bit ropey but I expected as much with a big screen and quad core.

A network problem.
 
There seem to be a lot of software issues with this phone... Bit worrying as I was starting to think that Android was getting to the point it doesn't need to be flashed to use!

Anyway.... Does Sense/ICS collate appointments from all sources into your calendar for display on the lock screen? I assume Outlook comes as standard, how about windows live and Facebook? Also can you get contacts (phone etc) from windows live and Facebook, and can you link contacts together and have just one with multiple sources (outlook, sim, Facebook etc)?

It generally works fine, and any issues are down to HTC Sense more than Android. The Galaxy Nexus for example has very few (if any) issues.

tbh most of the issues seem to brought in by manufacturers putting tat on top :o like tw launcher/sense etc..

They mucked me around. After the online guys told me to take it back into the store, the store said they couldn't process the swap. So I have to post it and wait for a replacement.

Got a free month's credit for my troubles, but still fuming.
 
Yes. My thoughts. Just thought I'd check if other One X owners were having similar issues before ruling phone/radio problems out.
 
Well just convinced my girlfriend to go with the HTC one X. her Desire HD broke 2 months before contract finished. she got this deal with tmobile:

Got mine today.

That screen is so nice that I'm a little scared to touch it.:D

What a beautiful thing though, a nice step up from my Desire which now feels like a brick. Still a great little phone though.

True I guess, but considering all android phones (other than the GS) come with skins... :p
