europe and asia aren't part of the test, so you need to make sure it's set to american servers.

they had some problems so capped the number of concurrent players, which is permanently maxed - so you'll get error 37 every time.
 
Played a barbarian in coop with a buddy and it was great fun but im still really looking forward to torchlight more than this even though I get this with my wow sub
 
Played a Witch Doctor last night for about 2 hours. Still not sure which class I would pick as my main. Just tried to log on but server is busy with Error 37, but to be honest, I'm not too bothered lol. Maybe I play MMORPGs mostly in the past 5 years that I get very bored easily with an 'offline' game if 1) it doesn't keep me hooked enough in the first 15 minutes, or 2) no one else I know plays it.

Hopefully a few of my friends are still planning to pick it up next month, because that will motivate me to get it, get through the initial parts of the game and then uncover a great game.

I'm that guy who either enjoys online games such as MMORPGs with mates, or that repetitive 'offline' game such as FIFA or Street Fighter where I can pick up and have a quick go in 10 minutes before work. Anything in between, maybe when I was a teenager and I had time to get into a story. I can't remember the last game that I 'completed'!

Anyone installing this morning having slow speeds try this (Windows):

Go into Internet Options -> Connections tab -> LAN settings -> Turn off Automatically detect settings. Skyrocketed the speed from 3-500 kbps to capping out my connection at 3mbps.

It worked really well for me, went from 189 KB/s to 1.59 MB/s which is far more reasonable.
 
Got the beta installed this morning, then had to faff about updating graphics card drivers, then got the issue with there not being an EU server. Finally got logged in and played a barbarian for about five minutes - the phone went, so I logged off, intending to come back.

Finished phone call, popped into the D3 thread on here briefly and saw at least a couple of people saying how good monks were and went back intending to start a monk as well. As is typical, it's refused to let me in ever since - keep getting a timeout everytime I select one of my characters and try and enter the game :mad:

Lost me rag with it at that point and went and played WoW instead - will get a full copy with my WoW Annual Pass anyhow ...
 
Before this open beta, I was 99% certain my main would be a monk, but not any more!

Really enjoying Barbarian and Demon Hunter far more.
 
Played a Witch Doctor, Monk and Demon Hunter to lvl 9 (killed skeleton king on all) and loving this so far. My mates have gotten it downloaded now so off for some co-op!

Anyone having trouble (error 30008 or 3006) when connecting to single player games, keep trying to connect, it works eventually.

Oh and anyone still trying to connect to Europe servers, change to Americas. They are the only ones that the open beta is on. I've had zero issues once I get in game.
