Have you managed to do a run at 1920x1080? What about overclocking at all? Would be good to get some feedback from someone running a reference design card. :)

Whats the reference KFA2 card like noise/temps wise? I know this will vary setup to setup but edging towards the ref design

my attempt so far
boost: 1250 / 1254 / 1264(+100) depending on its mood but most of the time its 1250
memory: 3703 (+700)
completed both unigine + 3d mark 11 with no sign of artefacts
temps was below 60 C @ 65% fan

Looks like I lost out in the great silicone lottery, my Gygabyte windfarce will do 1163 stock and can reach 1263 stable with 100 on the clock. Anything above 100 and "CRASH"

Temps are unbelievably low. The volts don't go above 75.

To cap it all? My P8P67 Deluxe decided to loose its SATA ports today.

Yeah I know I could and should have done the swap out to the B3 last June but I honestly thought it wouldn't happen. Talk about bloody timing. Anyone recommend what Motherboard I should now get to replace it? I have an i52500k that's been rock solid at 4.6 for 15 months or so now.

What to do.

its down to the bios settings, chances are the gigabyte is already at the equivalent of like 110% anyway so you've got less headroom to play with

to increase it you are in to the territory of flashing a custom bios

As said, this is down to the cards bios I think. All windforce cards have a max of 111%

Cool, thanks chaps, I thought it might be something like that, the only thing I've noticed is that the KFA's are at a higher clock in stock mode, and still allow 125% over the lower clocked & 111% Gigabytes, though the Gigabytes seem to be overclocking higher in general? Strange?

ordered myself a gigabyte windforce, i'm a happy guy right now :)

I think you'll be a happy chappie when it arrives, mines dead silent and super cool, love it so far :D

Contact ASUS and see if they will still swap it out for you, after all its still there problem and if its in warranty they will need to replace it :)

For those with the Gigabyte Windforce, does yours ramp up the fans to full when you switch the PC on or resetting but then go quiet when windows/drivers load in?

Yup. Scared me half to death when I first installed it before the drivers went on - thought I'd scored a lemon (I always look on the bright side of life)

Actually it was at this point I discovered that my DVD drive had disappeared so I then had 10 minutes of sheer panic until I'd downloaded the drivers from Nvidia. Not a pleasant experience at all.

Lol, I thought I had a lemon too, also to add to the panic, I was installing windows on a new SSD so it was a while before the drivers were on, panic over when the drivers kicked in :D

Pretty sure that's happened with all/most video cards for the past few years, I know my AMD cards do it.

Sort of, most cards I've had will ramp up for a few seconds and then settle, even before windows loaded in, but this stays on full until the drivers kick in, so if I'm mucking about in the BIOS then it'd get a little annoying as it'd be on full tilt! Luckily the full fans are a lot quieter than my previous GTX470 & GTX580 :)
