Is there a way to change the icons at the bottom of the screen with the menu button on it, and or is there a way to skin it as it really doesn't suit the way I want it to look. I know I can change the icons but I wish it was even a transparent bar.

You can drag them out of that bar and replace them with different apps if that's what you mean?

Check out the themes section of personalisation. I'm pretty sure one of the themes is at least semi-transparent.

I haven't had the 1.29 update yet. My O2 one X is at 1.28.401.9

I live somewhat out in the sticks and could really do with a radio boost to get a decent signal indoors (Most of the time the signal is either not there at all or I get 1 bar)

I thought Orange were bad here, but O2 is worse.....

So, does anyone know if there will be some radio improvements at all, or whether there is an app that can boost signal quality??

I just had an update through for 1.29.401.7 on an unbranded One X on the Orange network. ~35MB download and seemed to install fine.

I checked for update manually, and now downloading 1.29

Desire has a lip though and thus the screen is protected, on the X the screen is completely exposed when face down as there's no bezel or lip protecting it like on other phones.

The One X screen is curved?

Yeah but it's a convex surface, not concave (unless my eyes and hands deceived me...)! So laying flat it still rests on the screen.

1. Pay off my contract with Orange (So i can transfer the number)
2. I need to get my PAC code and transfer my number
3. Transfer all texts / contacts across to new phone - Is bluetooth the best way to do this???

I’m assuming I should do it in the order posted above?

P.s Will Orange still be open at 8PM tonight?

I'd hold off with the PAC code etc until you've had the phone awhile. A lot of reports of these having issues after a few days.

It does, you are right. You'd have to use a case with edges if you wanted the screen to be lifted off a surface.

Righteo, I'll just put the vodaphone sim card in and play around with it for a few days.

That aside though, is that the right order I should do things in? Is bluetooth the best way to transfer data?

Also just got the update!

And discovered a small yellow tinge appearing bottom left .. which disappears under slight pressure on the screen.. must be delaminating..

Any ideas how good HTC are with second hand phones? I'm sure the original owner would pass on any info required, but not sure how anal HTC get with warranty?

Argh! So called up 3 to get PAC code so I can sign up for the Voda One X deal. Currently on £15/m sim only for 750m 3000txt 2gb data. They now offered me £8/m for 525 mins or txt 500mb data or an extra £3 (so £11/m total) for unlimited data, for life.

I use about 500-700 mins a month, probably 100 txt (mainly use whatsapp) and 1gb of data.

Still not sure whether to sign up to new contract or jus keep current £15/m contract or get new £11/m and get phone sim free...hmmm...
