*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Well I actually went into the high street today for about the first time in 5 years and looked at the phones. I was concerned that the one X would be too big. One hold of it and I was in love its just lovely. Just a shame I still have 2 months on my contract to go.

The one S also looked pretty good seen these for £17 pm so might be tempted.

Did you notice Woolworths has gone :D

In 2 months there's a chance all the probs with the One series will have been sorted. Not noticed much grumbling from One V owners ... or isn't there any!

Just got prompted to install a software update. Downloaded and installed no problem and now on 1.29.401.7.

Can't say I've noticed much difference but updates are always appreciated

Was in work today, so naturally I spent all day watching netflix. Very impressed, worked flawless and lasted for just over 4 hours of viewing pleasure.

Not bad considering, the screen is constantly on and data connection is getting a hammering! I did have a full signal which helps mind.

Got mine today, charged it up,hooked it up to the internet etc updated firmware to 1.29 and checked it over. All seems OK at present and very pleased.

Updated to 1.28 yesterday and twice today already I have had the 'no signal' message on my lock screen ... never had it before the update

Could it be related?

New 14MB update out this morning, phone is considerably faster in operation but not totally fluid.

Good stuff! Couple more updates and I imagine it being perfect.

I received 1.29.401.7 last night, no appreciable difference.

However apparently 1.29.401.11 has been released that fixes the flickering issue, according to various news posts across the web.

Still on 1.29.401.7 here :)

Can anyone else comment on the phone signal following these updates?

Guess I'm hoping for a miracle for O2 to be usable indoors in our village.....

Wow, they are really chucking out the updates...

*How to get it right the first time*

:p

Still on 1.29.401.7 here (UK unbranded from CPWH). I wonder if you guys who are getting OTA updates earlier are on European models (grey imports etc.)?

Just noticed I have "the storage bug" which the newest software supposedly fixes. It's showing me ~8GB used, but I have only about 4GB of Spotify cache and not much else on there at the mo!

Hi

Was looking at getting the phones4u vodafone deal but I've hit a snag...

I'm already on vodafone so if I go through phones4u (on vodafone) I cannot keep my existing number!

Is there any way around this? Vodafone directly won't deal at all.

Cheers!
