*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Yeh the rainforest place has removed them from sale. I'm getting a phone in a week or so and I seriously can't decide what to go for now, first it was the note but its impractical, then I had settled on this but I'm not sure now due to the issues :l

I see now, yeah. HTC will have to listen now Amazon have had enough of the problems.

It doesn't affect all devices though so you would probably be okay. If you don't want the X, get the S3 at the start of June.

I decided to ask for a refund on mine, fed up of constantly getting bad ones with problems, really lost faith in the One X and HTC. I counted my receipts from CPW and I think I had 9 in total, all with faults and defects.

I understand for every faulty one there are probably a 100 good ones, but for an expensive phone like this, there shouldn't be any at all or no where as many!

Good luck to those with one on the way!

It's a shame that the production process is letting HTC down as for the first time in a while HTC are in a position to really push Samsung with their flagship phone which wasn't the case with the SGSII vs Sensation.

I've personally had three HTC One X phones, (two white and one grey) through upgrades and bought sim free and I only experienced a problem with one of them which had display issues and a weak wifi signal. The other two One X's (one white and the other grey) were both fine.

I do hope that HTC do get the issues sorted out, the One X is an excellent phone but it wasn't for me and I switched to the One S.

Totally agree, HTC need to sort this ASAP.

I've been uber lucky so it seems with getting a totally mint and fault free device, which is a good job, buying secondhand always comes with hassle when trying to get faults fixed from the manufacturer..

[edit] LOL.. and wouldn't you know it, I get an occasional small slightly yellow tinged spot in the very lower left, a bit of screen pressure and it disappears, it seems to come and go though... will see how it pans out, and then see how good HTC are with a secondhand phone when it comes to service!

Similar to some other people here ... I finally have an update!!!! haha

Batter was only on 9% though, so I am waiting for the recommended 35% minimum that the warning says, and then I can unplug it too as it says not to have it charging whilst updating

Not sure what update it is yet, but any update is better than being on 1.26 still lol

This is with O2 by the way :)

It will refuse to update below 35% anyway so you had no choice but to charge it anyway.

Oh okay haha, it is my first Android/HTC so I don't know these things :)

How long roughly will it take? Trying to work out if I want to do it today or just wait until tomorrow sometime

Is there a way to change the icons at the bottom of the screen with the menu button on it, and or is there a way to skin it as it really doesn't suit the way I want it to look. I know I can change the icons but I wish it was even a transparent bar.

Tried Apex Launcher?

Phoned Orange about my screen "peeling away" problem & they were brilliant, I called on Saturday & they came with a new phone on Sunday, very very impressed with Orange, not so much with HTC for pumping out so many duff phones.
