Is there a way to stop auto-joining the general chat channel at login?
It's easy enough to just leave at start up, but my soul dies a little more each time I login and read some morons sales pitch...

I feel the same way about the game now, my views on things have changed since i hit Inferno. I also hate the fact that you have to use the AH to progress into the next act on Inferno too. I just don't know if i got the patience for it. :(

I logged in yesterday and was immediately presented with a spoiler in the chat window. Pointless reporting such people, the community is mostly made up of these morons, so I'd like to know if this is possible too.
 
I'm not sure why they added that in with the patch. :(
General chat in any online game is populated by scams/spoilers, or just pure inane drivel that no-one wants to see.

They are changing it in next patch so the game remembers which channels you are in when you log in. Just have to leave general chat once then.
 
Game sucks.
sure I got my investment of value but grinding, buying stiff from ah, forcing real money, its a money grab blizzard time sink and simply getting to feel a lot like a JOB.
at age 48 I wonder what kind of game designers make the game for?
I need to spend time farming and farming to get somewhere seems like a Job to me.
 
Got myself a few bargains recently. Plus noticed a ring I found ages back which is only level 29 still being used on my level 60 barb is worth atleast 250k!

Got myself this last night for 10k :) Will keep me going until I can afford something better. Spotted my dream weapon last night... a 1623dps Mighty Axe - only 18m. lol

Currently at 3060 armour, 16341 base dps and 34576 health before counting any bonuses from active skills. 1158 health per second regen is great to have!

don't worry - when RMAH - prices will be very cheap for decent items - I'm guessing :) 18 million will prob equate to £2.50 or something lol

There is no problem with hacking. It's just fools not using an Authenticator. If you click on 'Real money AH' in the Auction house menu it tells you the ETA date for it though.

Also if you get hacked twice you get your account banned from the RMAH. But apart from that, as far as I'm aware it's all going ahead.

Made a hardcore demon hunter last night. Just past the Skeleton king, if anyone is interested to playing some co-op.

I usually play with Darkshadow on my Monk and his Wizzard, currently on Hell.
 
so i got a bit bored with diablo 3 after 150 hours. with barb & wizard its fun but bit bored of farming constantly & all monsters being the same ok there some variations. but wanted bit more variety in monsters.

i think half the problem is having to go through the game x time to get to inferno for each class. reminds me to much of wow...

so having a break & bought Torchlight (1) Might get 2 if its good.

I dont think people not using authenticators are fools why should they need to pay extra to get security on their account on a £40+ PC game?

Ive never been hacked yet on any online game and d3 has a seperate email/pass never used for anything else, so I wouldnt be chuffed if I got hacked on it.

you don't have to pay extra last time i looked? but i don't have one no need really...
