So people have been duping gold and items, then buying up anything decent to re-sell in the RMAH. What's the point in playing any more? The game is too shallow to hold your attention for that long, and the fact that people have been abusing glitches to dupe money and items means the economy is suffering from hyper inflation and the people who play legit will have to farm for weeks, even months to afford 1 piece of gear.

Well when 3 of us were playing, we had max NV and he had none, he was definitely getting better drops than normal. But it could just have been luck and coincidence.

It's not coincidence. MF + GF are averaged between the group. It won't display in the stats section, but it is 100% the case.

I'd rather have every pack being reflect damage than bloomin Soul Lasher / Phasebeast elites.

God I hated that part. Many resets of rage.

Yup it's so easy to counter, pop Shadow Power Gloom and laugh.

I hate the Soul Lashers more so than the bloody Monkey Lacuni things in Act2 and they were horrible.

Not particularlly looking for an arguement, god forbid everyone jumped on the back of anyone who had negative point to make.

Me neither so I'll just leave it there^^

On another note, the fist I bought yesterday for my monk is making things a lot easier in act 1 at least, butcher runs are a lot faster with that extra 11k dps.

I noticed that the amount of rares per run is reduced?I was getting 16-20 per run (including cemetery and woods for 5 stacks before hells of agony)and yesterday in 2 runs I got 15 in total!Anyone else?

Its called luck of the draw... I've done Azmodan runs that yielded me about 1 full bag of gear, half of them rares, then I've done other runs and had to go back and sell up after Cydaea because I was full of magics with hardly any rares.

Random luck. The only change to the drop rates is coming in the next major patch where they are reducing guaranteed rares from bosses, but making it so you get guaranteed rares from packs with 5 NV stacks.

Never used Shadow Power, I prefer to SS, then SS again, pop preparation, then do 2 more SS's. You can do 6x SS's if you have discipline+ gear. It's pretty ludicrous you can burst down a pack almost while just standing there invulnerable.

If you fail, just run in and finish it off at the expense of 10% durability.

Sucks when you get reflect damage and shielding though, standing there trying to burst them doesnt really work lol. Even worse when they are phasebeasts and are warping away half the time.

Just had a champ pack in core of arreat with those exact attributes in fact. I danced the checkpoint and cheesed it :p

i was astounded last night, my policy is not to buy off the AH I want to find everything I use. I've found very little so far, done a bit of farming (especially after I was hacked and left naked and penniless) but not massive amounts.

I'm in Act 1 Hell, Leoric's CY area down towards the prison and I actually found 2 upgrades - signifcant ones at that 1 blue and 1 yellow, and my 2nd legendary (The Broken Staff). I'm a lvl 55 monk now, I found a nice chest piece and a 311 dps 2 handed spear (with 1 socket) that added over 1000 damage! stuff actually explodes now rather than lying down and being tickled to death.

Wish I knew the triggers for rare/elite packs healing though.

Sometimes they heal in 5 seconds.

Sometimes you can run a whole map and they won't have healed.

Gets frustrating.

There was a gold dupe exploit related to changing your system clock, which is a retarded bug to be honest, hope nobody here has been doing it because Blizzard have already posted a warning about cheating, I expect ban waves to begin fairly soon.

How can they ban you for changing your system clock though? It's not the end user's fault or using any external code or program, it's the game using code within the operating system that the game was designed for which just seems really lazy/stupid from Blizzard to me.

To become better I guess is ultimate goal. No one has gone past Act III on inferno hardcore yet. Not even athene.

They can't ban you for changing your clock. They can ban you for knowingly abusing the exploit to make millions of gold though ;);)

i don't understand people wanting the random items do favour their class when dropping with stats. it isn't really the point of diablo. utterly random stats are what make the game interesting, and what makes it a diablo game

So why could you make perfect 'sets' of gear in D2 for every class?

The divide comes from the main stat per class thing, it's a healthy change but makes getting the 'best' items harder and more frustrating

plus there are no direct skill +1's now it's a percentage boost to certain skills for each class on some items.

in D3 there are no 'bad' stats they are all useful the problem is blizzard have made it impossible to not go for min/max-ing so you are FORCED to go a certain way, or build.

that's a problem with the game, and not with one class being better than the other and most people can't get past the fact that they picked the wrong class (there is no wrong class, mistake #1) and that they are selfish/greedy and just can't stand to see someone else be happy while playing a class that they see as OP when in fact all classes are near enough equal and is based on items/play style.

the game is not hard when you have the best of the best gear, regardless of class - if one class was 'best' then that would be the only class to ever complete inferno, when there are plenty of videos showing every class doing it.

TLDR; People are stupid, greedy and selfish and will not stop until the game is broken for EVERYONE

I recently dropped the Bat for SP Gloom as i was fed up of running around with no health until prep/heal pots were back up. I prefer it so much more, i can't spam my NT but i don't die half as often and can stand face to face with mobs when it is up.
