Just because it doesn't meet your requirements does not make it a "fail" automatically........

And that is shown purely by the amount of interest in this tablet. You are not going to get anything better than this for that kind of money.

And exactly as m4rk said, takes like 5-10 minutes to remove stuff and copy new items etc. over.

If it had a card slot I wouldn't have to remove & copy new cause all my music would be there.

Carrying another device to connect to it with music on is a step backwards...

I'll wait for the 7.2....That'll have a slot.

Any micro usb OTG cable will do - £2 off ebay.

That's me sold, I was looking for a micro usb to microsd, completely forgetting USB OTG cable which I've seen mrk use to good effect, iirc Apple are releasing a sub $200 7" tab just before xmas in the US, the price drop has arrived.:cool:

This tab is perfect for me, glad I didn't buy another 7.7 last week.

The bench marks you posted next sealed the deal, then it unsealed with the revelation that it may not support otg, is this likely? I will gamble that it does I guess

Also does this support USB OTG?

If it does, then you can simply buy a USB adapter and buy a mini USB pen drive (whatever size you want) and put all your music, films etc. on it.

Same!

Either this or a 128GB SSD for my PC!

you can get a 128gb for £60

Well yeah it would have been nice to have obviously but it isn't an issue if you just take 5-10 minutes of your time every 2 nights or whatever to do the copy and paste etc. what you need for the next few days. You aren't going to be listening to 22GB worth of music in a few days are you? :p

Hardly a big device to carry around though? Most USB pen drives nowadays weigh very little and are tiny and you can attach them to your key ring e.g. this one or this one.

Yeah I seen those deals etc. thanks :)

But would prefer getting the Samsung 830 series SSD or the crucial M4 or the corsair force 3 :p, can't decide which :o

Was looking at the sandisk ultra as well, but it is only sata 2, have seen a kingston one somewhere else for £60, which is very tempting...........

oh! Any hints as to where from? ;)

Cheapest I can find is about £85-90 not including delivery.

The question is do I wait it out a bit longer though as prices are coming down gradually and then Crucial will be releasing their new one soon iirc, so more of a price drop (hopefully :p)?

Soz mate, google will have to be your friend today, I've got no time for a search about it but I defo read it when researching tabs.

My point is, nothing to do with Apple hardware is really confirmed until it is launched. People can speculate about upcoming tablets, but no one outside of the company or supply chain, etc, knows for sure.

Apple rumour after 1 min search.

But agree with you re Apple speculation again rumours but I've heard that since Steve died lots of the dissidents have been released from the dungeons and freedom of speech is being mooted

16GB for me despite having an ipad3, can't really go wrong at the price especially as the more I automate Stuff™ around the house the more controllers I need.

Any excuse eh :D

Ah I think I'll mull it over until other pre-orders start popping up then. Will give me chance to decide if I actually want one or not rather than pre-ordering on a whim. :p
