*** The Official OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 Thread ***

Yes, and 4GB.

Definitely then. You should be fine. ML feels snappier than Lion and has some nice new features. If you use safari I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the improvements.

By the way, are the itabs only one way. Its quite common that I'll find a recipe on my laptop and want to send it to the phone rather than the other way round. iOS6 beta doesn't seem to have any way of seeing the tabs open in safari which is a shame.

I'd like to have my notes sync from my iPhone to my Mac, but when I select iCloud to sync Notes it asks me to create an @me.com email account... Why do I have to do this? I am using my Gmail as my iCloud account.

Because iCloud isn't Google. You need to create an iCloud account.

I made sure by restarting twice. Currently following this thread over on macrumours: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1403675

Ah yes this was the thread that first brought the issue to my attention after me thinking I was going nuts! I think there are a few other threads across other forums where people are experiencing the same problems. Judging by the volume of people posting it doesn't seem to be widespread though which I guess doesn't exactly help in getting the problem fixed.

I haven't been able to reproduce the issue since removing gfxCardStatus, which I find very bizarre, although it's bound to happen sooner or later ain't it? :D

Finally received my serial :). Making a bootable USB so I can clean install all the Mac's w/o re-downloading.

bought and d/ld last night. would say they whole thing took about 3hrs (250gb MBP) to d/l and install

initially the whole system was really slow opening programs etc i was

but with use things have sped up.
can't get dictation to work atm

anyway, look forward to having a play with this

Impressed with safari with this, notifications is a nice touch also didn't take long to download and install either.

Still not impressed by iMessages. I know we have to wait for iOS6 before our phone numbers and emails are unified for the system but it is an unreliable pos from my experiences.

It takes a full 10-20mins for an iMessage to actually appear (notification centre) on my uMacBook and the whole experience is just finicky and non-apple like.

Experiences with ML overall have been quite good though. I just need to keep an eye out on system temps and fan speeds to make sure they aren't being hit too hard.

If it helps I actually emailed [email protected]

With my serial number and they sent it a few hours later :)

Done. :p

Been like 2 days now. Not acceptable really. I can understand they want to get cash purchases out of the way first but we've just spent 2 grand on new laptops and were promised an update as soon as it was available.
