I don't get how people are using realizmIV, I installed it to my game dir and it asked to insert the cd with I don't have as its steamworks, also installed to my desktop then copied everything that way except .exes game didn't even load.

I don't care to much though as vizualIV does the same thing and works.

im using HD textures end L3vos ENB,i prefer it over icehancer,im also using fonias roads and pavements plus lots of realism mods.

Did you disable DOF? Adds a nice feel also a lot of the shots above I took around 7am the light is a lot more intense and shadows more pronounced at that time. Really do love the DOF though, especially for screenshots.

Realism IV is rubbish in my opinion,i dont rate it at all,was good a while back but you dont need to use it nowadays.

-novblank is no vsync but for some reason adding it here gives me better performance,without it i get popup,i just force vsync through inspector and it works great.....very wierd in the way this game works.

whats the memrestrict for? and im guessing vid mem = 2 is 2gb?

my first shot soo far! get a few bugs here and there, like i seem to have the taxi bug and only have one car installed atm! any advice would be cool!

Taxi bug can be removed via a scripted mod, just Google it. It is incompatible with Ultimate Textures v1 from my experience, not sure about v2. It works though, despite the fact everything looked unrendered and somethings just straight up weren't even there, I did have all of the cars I'd modded in on the roads!

Easy to uninstall so you can risk trying, either way.

So, whats the general conclusion here, there are so many different graphics tweaks available I dont know which to go for.

iCEnhancer looks quite popular but there seems to be some others that people think are better.

Im trying to make GTA4 look as 'realistic' and visually pleasing as possible.

EDIT: I think game developers should take a long hard look at games like GTA4 sometimes and cry in the corner or strive to make a game as good as Rockstar can:

(yes I know this is the stock game modified, but underneath it all is still a great game world engine and it allowed for mods such as these to exist and turn GTA4 into a stunning looking game IMO.

Yeah,i set mine to 4.0 as i have 4gb thats why i advised 2 as an average for most users.

Using EFLC from steam. The only mods I have on are the enb linked above and better city textures pack.

Personally I disagree, GTA campaign is boring and the multiplayer game itself is lacking. The only thing this game has going for it is the great open world. Also without the third party mods I would barely be playing it.
