Its still an awesome handset. Regret selling mine to buy a sgs3 in all honesty. Wish I still had it.
bet you notice a nice speed bump and screen res increase from the trusty desire.
God yes, still have no idea about Google now though. I assume it works itself out after a short while showing what it thinks I want.
who you with network wise? im with vodafone and they do a £3 per day to have all you UK contract abroad, which i think is pretty good, you just use your phone as normal, no restrictions or limits your contract is as it is in the UK

One thing, when getting a text message, it only shows a notification in the status bar? Not on the actual message app, for example a "1" showing it, I'd prefer that then looking at the status bar every time if you know what I mean.
Also, not happy with the volume on this, volume boost isn't compatible with Jelly Bean yet

Lots of apps which allow pop up notifications.
You can also change the launcher to get what you want on the icons. Launcherpro does what you want.
GiffGaff. Might consider a new phone with EE in a few months time, depending on what comes out. If Google only upgrade their phones a little like Apple done 4S to 5, I'll be a little ticked off!
