***Offical Game of Year Contender Dragons Dogma***

I did the same thing (except I maxed strider/ranger first), maxed Warrior and Fighter to get the strength increase passives after - it's definitely worth doing, haven't tried going assassin yet though as there weren't any tempting passives.

I like the sound of the +70% strength at night passive!

Has anyone bothered with the DLC? Seems a bit over priced for what it is?

Had considered that at first but it seems a tad situational :( decided to stick with the +30% from the fighter/warrior as I can only spare 2 slots haha. Might give it a go at later stage though :p In regards to the DLC, it doesn't seem entirely worth it atm as I found the quests to be fairly boring (the first released pack was at least, and the equipment DLC becomes redundant fairly quickly).

Need 3 achievements for 1k on this. 2 of them I should get when I get around to fighting them, but I'm 20 pieces away from the collect 350x weapon/armour achievement. Can't find any more!

And the Ur Dragon is dead....

And with that I now have 1000/1000. :D

Thoroughly enjoyed this game.

I've only just started playing this and am really enjoying it but think i might have missed something. I've done all quests other than killing some lizards in a well in the starter town (which kill me very quickly) and killing 8 spiders (i could only find 5 in the little room in a cave). Wandering north or west from the encampment ends up with me dead at the hands of bandits. I don't seem to be able to do enough damage. I've read some guides which mention there being loads of quests so am a little confused as to what i've missed. Also i read about it being important to upgrade weapons and armour asap but i can't see anywhere to do this. What to do? I'm level 10 now and haven't had a single armour or weapon item drop.

Party is me (fighter), 2 mages and 1 strider.

There are loads of quests you can miss, especially early on. Some quests have to be completed to open up others, killing those lizards for example.

Look on the job boards aswell. These introduce you to new areas and of course new people/quests.

Reading further up it appears there is a trick to killing the lizards so will give that a go and hopefuly a few more quests will appear. I'm pretty anal about exploring all areas / reading the job boards so don't think i've actually missed anything yet. At what point can i use a merchant to upgrade my weapons / armour?

Have you bumped in to Madeline (I think that's her name) and guided her to the encampment, and then given her money to get to the main city? That opens up the game. Have you killed the Hydra, which opens a quest to transport the head to the main city?

Yeah i escorted the female merchant and gave her 1000 gold. Not seen a Hydra yet. Am going to kill the lizards and hopefuly find the rest of the spiders on the way out tonight which will clear down all my current quests. There is a woman in the encampment near the pawn ston thing with a quest icon above her but she just says about getting enough men before leaving then offers for me to rest for 300 gold.

Lizards dead and Hydra killed, got a few more quests now so all is good. Although knocking the tails off helped a lot just holding back during combat and picking my attacks made the difference. Rushing in just gets me killed.

Also listening to your pawn who tells you what to do can help. Especially if you hire an experienced pawn who has completed these quests already or has fought the enemy your fighting.

Once i get paid on the 10th i'll get a new gold subscription so should make life easier then.

EDIT

Sweet talked the missus to lend me the money till i get paid lol.
