My Signal seems fine, and I can actually hold my phone however I want now I don't have an iPhone 4 :p
 
I must add I've only had mine a few days and haven't had any issues with signal at all coming from an S2 and the last few weeks a Desire.

I'm not happy with the trend of bigger and bigger phones to be honest. The Nexus 4 is a touch smaller than the S3 and it makes all the difference for me, the S3's size just isn't practical.

I think its for the mobile operators to give us a four minute warning to the end of the world, nuclear attack and child abductions.

Unfortunately its bugged it appears....
 
Re. the signal not being as good, surely this may not be directly comparable, 2 bars on one phone could be different than 2 bars on another phone, unless there is a more accurate way of measuring. I remember after the iPhone 4 launch when Apple tinkered with theirs to give a more accurate representation (as one of their awful attemps to sort out the antena balls up), so presumably all phones are not the same.

Obviously if people loose signal completely and didn't on their old phone then thats a different matter.

Signal Bars don't signify anything as you mentioned, What I meant was the signal strength as in dB's from settings >about>signal.

EDIT: Nexus 4 has -113 db at work my S3 had about -70 to -90 in the office so S3 had a better signal, having said that I did try different Modems on the S3.

Yep, signal indicators are not equal.

If you want an actual figure, look in Settings => About phone => Status

You'll see the signal in dBm and asu, that you should be able to compare with other phones.

Completely agree though even I think the Nexus 4 is too big...

I actually have to move the position of my hand in relation to the phone compared to how I pick it up just to attempt to use it in one hand, to the extent Im holding onto less than half of the phone and can only wrap 3 of my 4 digits around it when doing so. And I dont have tiny hands neither :p

I dont get why phones had to get so much bigger when it affected their ergonomics massively.
