The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

I loved Sword Art Online, it's going to be a true classic.

I was in two minds about SAO, I enjoyed it... but it could have been so so much more. There was loads of room to expand the series and look further into the complex and interesting psychology of being trapped within full-drive, the battles seemed half arsed, and the romance quite naive.
How does the manga compare?

Thanks for the suggestions!. Just ordered Claymore :) I'll look into the others mentioned as well.

You won't be disappointed, its an epic series. Also give naruto a go. The filler episodes are annoying (although not sure if they are on the dvd's) but the main story line is epic, no future tech and 600 odd episodes later is still going strong

Interesting, NISA are releasing The Princess and the Pilot movie in their usual nice quality release format with a hardback book and nice slip case. I don't recall them doing this for anything other than full/half series so far so it's interesting that they are realling a film now using this method.

I managed to watch Tiger & Bunny (well episodes 1-&) during the week and enjoyed it.

It looks like both MVM and Manga are going to be fairly busy this year with new releases according to ANN

i am guess that the uk released maybe sometime next year, but bear in mind it taken few years for episode 5-8 to be released as 1-4 were released in the usa just b4 genon usa closed its doors on. then this past year 1-4 were re-released just before episode 5-8 were released. episode 9-10 is expected to be released sometime this year.

From what I remember of watching Children who Chase Lost Voices (aka Journey to Agartha) on the Japanese BD release it was pretty good although the ending seemed very rushed, which was a pity as if they'd made the film about 10 minutes longer they could have avoided it feeling that way.

This weekend I've mostly been watching the first half of Bodacious Space Pirates on Sentai's BD release. Good fun science fiction series with a good combination of characters, action and comedy.

On top of that I've caught up with the second series' of both Chihayafuru (still loving the BGM for this) and AKB0048 and I notice that the OP/ED CD has been listed for release in April for the latter (in four versions )

The anime was aired in 2007, so it's been 6 years now. Even through the Manga is on-going, I don't ever think we ever get a new season.

Shame because there is nothing like Claymore out there, it's awesome.

To be honest Claymore actually reminds me a lot of Witcher.

I might be unpopular in saying so but I actually prefer the anime to the manga as well, for the simple reason the author of the manga has really stretched the series out insanely, he really doesn't seem to know how to do progression properly, and whilst you can live with that with a weekly manga, with a monthly manga its meant events that should have taken a chapter or two have taken months and months and even years.

Just ordered Soul Eater anyone seen it?
Currently watching Samurai Champloo for the second time, i think its great. My mate knows someone who has the two main characters as a tattoo on there legs:D
