I looked at it from all angles and found it to be good :p Obviously on darker colours i.e. blacks that grey haze appears, but this will happen on every LCD screen unfortunately :(

Unfortunately when you look through the N4 thread here it just seems to come down to the device you get in the end :( Either get good or terrible viewing angles.

Still much preferred my SAMOLED screen. Just can't beat those blacks!

But yeah the iphone 5 screen destroys all other LCD based screens without a doubt. Had a look at one today and got bored within 1 minute :p :o

Supposedly there is a wee gap between the screen and uni-body frame though.
 
I am just having a look through some ROMs now and still think the viper rom is the best all round, however, I don't think you can flash a proper stock android theme, which is largely why I want to root and flash a custom ROM :p :(

Unfortunately the camera won't be as good though, which is really putting me off :(

Is everything still going ok for you on the parandroid ROM?
 
Have been reading through the venom thread to see what bugs people experience and there always seems to be some little annoying niggle(s) with ROMs, which really **** me off :( :p Like supposedly one bug is the GPS not turning of after an app has used it, have to go to google maps or something else to stop it amongst other things.

Making me have second thoughts now, got all the stuff downloaded and prepared too.

Might just root for the time being so I can get a few things like the youtube HD app, adaway etc.

Besides, having a look, I can't see anyway of being able to properly theme sense to stock android like what you can do with touchwiz and the JB domination theme :(

i use the gps quite a lot as i'm living in holland now, and still don't know my way around perfectly :p

tempted to just root, backup and see what it's like, and if it's not that great go back to the stock rom but leave it rooted for the apps you've mentioned...
 
So GPS is pretty essential then! :D :p

Only a few people have reported the issue and it could be due to them not doing something that they were supposed to so you might be fine and not experience any problems. Besides the GPS supposedly works fine, it is just not turning of when an app is finished with it.

Pretty sure I won't bother flashing a custom rom now as I really just wanted the stock android theme throughout and won't use a stock based rom due to the camera being poor overall, more bugs etc. :(
 
i was under the impression they'd allow you to pretty much completely customise everything, even down to the background of the settings stuff (as in system settings)?
 
I thought that too, however, I can't see any themes/screenshots where people have been able to change the settings panel and notification tray to a proper stock android look.

It just seems like changing the app icons, sense widget look, notification bar colour/icons are the main things (and you can already do most of that with themes on the market etc. without having too root)

I'll ask in the one X thread as there are quite a few people running venom in there I think..........
