***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Got around 17 hours with 2hrs30m screen time yesterday, bit disappointing really. I think Faux has sorted the msm_hsic_host wakelock, just the suspend_backoff wakelock that's now taken it's place! Quick Google leads to it being an issue with Chrome? I've removed it anyway for now, gonna leave it for an hour and see if BBS shows anything for the better or worse.

Are you on wifi or mobile data for most of the day? Also what is your signal like?

Considering I'd get around 1 hour screen on time with my DHD, I was delighted to get 2.5 hours after my first charge on this phone. Just keep at it mate, keep tweaking, maybe try a few different kernels, change some settings, and eventually your battery life will become epic.

if i disable my mobile data for a while and then try to turn it back on.. my N4 will not allow mobile data.. unless I restart my phone. Is anyone else experiencing this "problem"?

I'll hold out till the end of the week, see how it goes with this Faux kernel on PA. Today I've had in on for nearly 4 hours with 30 mins screen on and it's already drained just over 20%. Really can't figure it out for the life of me why it's this rotten.

When I tried Faux, with his battery saving settings all enabled, my battery wasn't that great either. I've been experimenting with a few kernels recently, Franco is next on my list.

Let's talk about the touch matrix in bright light. Does it annoy anyone else? It's nowhere near as bad as the HD2 was, but it's a definite flaw in the Nexus 4. A by-product of the low cost one assumes. It's not something I've noticed on my Nexus S, nor noticed it on other recent phones (I haven't looked too hard for it though).

If you're not sure what I'm on about, it's the matrix of dots that cover the screen and they're visible when bright light is reflecting off the screen.

I can't see the digitizer on mine, I'm pretty sure it's more down to the in-cell touch technology rather than cheapness.

I could see the one on my Nexus One in the right light though, so I know what I'm looking for.

I've noticed it a few times, it's a niggle I guess but not noticeable enough to be annoying really. Never noticed it on other phones though.

Currently testing the Trinity Kernel, not bad so far.

4h 30m uptime, 1h 12m screen on time and 23m voice calls. 75% battery left.

How good is the pre installed screen protectors?

Just got mine and am wondering if I can leave them on??

To be honest, I don't think this screen really needs a protector, but so far I've left the pre installed one on. It's fine so far, no problems. Leave it on and see how you like it.

The ones with the ugly volume plus and minus on? Horrific, rip them off!!! Get a pouch to keep the phone in or invest in some of those full phone protectors that I've seen people getting.

I can see the vertical matrix dots on mine under direct light, but only with the screen off. Does it bother me? No. My GF has the Note 2 and I used to have the S3, I love the N4 screen after at first not being quite sure. It looks natural compared to the almost cartoon look of the amoled screen of the samsung devices.

Well this is a bit better!

That's with 4 hours screen time, about 1 hour calls and 20 mins gps navigation!!!!
