**** Official Titan owners thread. ****

That is a bit cheeky - we were advised to order the Asus ones as there were larger numbers coming in apparently and they were also both at the same price last Thursday.

I've posted in the CS section asking where we are with the Asus ones - I'll post back here when I get a response.

Same here, ordered the Asus one due to more been available.

Shouldn't need to use that as Titans are native Gen 3

doesn't matter, so are 670's, it's not the graphics card that makes the difference it is the fact that Intel do not officially support PCIe 3.0 on Sandy-E and neither do Nvidia - to enable it you need to force it on in the nvidia drivers (as mentioned, sometimes my CPU craps out when you try it - but bumping some of the voltages re-stabilised it for me)

Who buys 3 titans....They cost more than my car...

Jelous much.

I have been very lucky to be in a position to be able to do this right now, I wouldn't have been able to a year ago

Taken from the CS section -

We have stock arriving continuously however it is very small quantities. All orders should be cleared within a week. However you are pretty much at the top of the queue so your order will be dispatched any day now!

Looks like it depends where you are in the queue.

Sorry mate but you've got your wires crossed, X79 does support PCI-e natively
as I run Crossfire 7970's Gen 3 with no problem

IIRC Nvidia removed support for PCI-e 3 on the 6xx series cards except the 690

http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answ...force-600-series-gen3-support-on-x79-platform

Therefore we’ve decided to only support and guarantee PCI Express 2.0 bus speeds on X79/SNB-E with our standard release drivers. Native PCI Express 3.0 platforms (like Ivy Bridge) will run at 8GT/s bus speeds with our standard release drivers.

Though we cannot officially support or guarantee 8GT/s speeds for X79/SNB-E, you can manually enable faster 8GT/s bus speeds (at your own risk) on GTX 680 or GTX 670 GPUs using the following executable: force-enable-gen3.exe

If you would like to revert back to 5GT/s bus speeds you can do so by running the following command from the DOS command line: “force-enable-gen3.exe –revert”

You may download "force-enable-gen3.exe" from the File Attachments section below. You will need to reboot your system for the changes to take effect.

We will be dispatching orders as soon as we can. So please be patient, I know it is extremely exciting if you have ordered one and you want it straight away, but just hang on there, you will get one! :)

Just got them installed, and run the gool ol' C2 benchmark (with added 4xAA goodness)
