What film did you watch last night?

Was it that bad? I was looking forward to seeing that.

upon reflection, i may have been harsh but i just wasn't in the mood. will give it and movie 43 a whirl tomorrow. got the basketball diaries to watch shortly. saw it when i was 16 and remember enjoying it. that was over 16 yrs ago :(

Skyfall ,7/10.
Javier Bardem should have played his character like he did Chigurth in no Country for old Men (although i want that in any movie he stars in).

Just watched Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy for the second time. Maybe it doesn't help that both times I've watched it I've been tired, but I literally have no bloody idea what was going on.

Last night:
Shawshank - 8.5/10 - The great is still very great.

Cloud Atlas - 8/10 - needs second scoring - if you want to watch this film I suggest something. Don't do it at the cinema. Buy it on DVD. You'll need to watch it a couple if times I reckon. It's not that it wasn't worth watching, but having watched it, come home and read the synopsis, I'm still going... 'Hmmmm' and thinking about it....

Terminator Salvation. 6/10.

I thought it was pretty enjoyable overall, and I much prefered it to Terminator 3. However, it all just seemed pointless and didn't really add anything to the story 'so far'.

Casino Royale.

I think Craig would make a better villain.

5/10.

SkyFall. This latest Bond movie is (thankfully) in a different league to the first two Daniel Craig efforts. This one is darker, and entertaining all the way through.

Solid 8/10 from me. (I'd give Casino 6/10 and the second one 5/10 at most).

As an aside, I watched it via BlinkBox, who are giving away £5 of free credit (must deposit £1, so you end up with £6 credit). Effectively you get two films for £1 or £2, and there's no sub (hoorah!)

Chose to download because I hear the streaming is dodgy, but ended up with a >2gig DRM protected .wmv. The quality was DVD, and looked nice enough on my 23" monitor. Will use BlinkBox again, I think.

The pirate bay: Away from keyboard

A very interesting piece, they were surprisingly open and frank about the court case and their attitudes.
If your interested in the case or copyright, its a must watch.

It's very dense and a lot isn't explained. If you're not paying full attention it can leave you confused as to what is going on. I've only seen it once, and I didn't fully understand it all, so definitely need to see it again.

Watched Kidulthood tonight, was a really good film.
Was a fairly accurate, if slightly exaggerated portrayal, of urban life

7/10
