*** The 2013 Gym Rats Thread ***

Just got back from deployment. I haven't lifted for just over a week and have been feeling pretty run down and tired. Needless to say this did not dent my alpha-ness and jumped straight on to the bench usual weight.

Well, I dropped the bar on my face didn't I?! Yes, that hurt.

I found it completely hilarious and I wasn't one of the guys nearby stood half shocked half laughing at me, so they must have wet themselves when I left the gym! :D ( :( ). Lesson learnt, neck wound in, knob-headedness extracted.

Haha! I dropped the bar (incline bench) on my stomach. My gimp mate just stood and laughed at me before helping with the bar.

Well pleased with myself.
Managed 200KG DL for the first time ever last night :D:D:D

140 x 8
160 x 4
160 x 4
180 x 1
190 x 1 (PB)
200 x 1 (PB)
200 Failed (didn't even budge it off teh floor this time)
180 x 2

190 came up pretty clean so thought sod it I'll give 200 a go.
It wasn't pretty but came up easier than I thought it would.

You see this is what I mean when I tell someone to man up. You admit to doing something like a girl, I make some insult about your manhood manparts or your general ineffectuality as a man. And you go "good point", stop being a girl, and find you balls! I salute you wes because most on this forum seem to think that when I tell them to "man up" what I'm REALLY asking them for is some other excuse or reason for their innate, incurable, faggotry.

Well, despite i dismissed it, what you said lingered in my mind from Tuesday to when it came to training time, so i thought i'd give it a go. I also ditched the mirror and went by instincts and the way my body felt, that felt better also, as i was in tune with my body.
