AMD Driver Performance - 12.10 WHQL Vs 13.3 Beta 3

I can't even be bothered to make graphs for 1 benchmark most of the time so fair play on this Matt. You really should get back to playing BF3 though!

Yes he should!!! :D

Really enjoying our TDM server at the moment, come on Matt. :)

I'd be interested to see the results in tabular format with a % increase column too.
I was under the impression that the "Never Settle" drivers made a huge difference to performance, but these results don't seem to suggest the gains were that big in some games.

If someone wants to work out the percentages that would be great. :)

They were large in the games listed with performance improvements. (bf3, sleeping dogs to name just a couple but there were others that i didn't bench because i don't own those titles)

averaged across all settings

Cool. BF3 and Hitman made some good gains, the others seem quite small considering the hype around the 12.11 betas.
That said I don't know what's typical for a driver release (AMD or Nvidia).

Battlefield 3, hitman and sleeping dogs were the only games listed for improvement in the 12.11 drivers that i benched so that's quite normal.

Farcry 3, Tomb Raider had not been released when 12.11 went beta, neither had valley. Unigine was already fairly well optimised as was Dirt Showdown. The other games which got improvements from 12.11 i don't own so cannot bench. :)

Undecided. I've got 7 days :D. Bought a Dell U2713HM.

What is apparent to my eye is drop to 60 Hz. More of a shock than I thought but I'll persevere.

Its a real mans res so i fully expect you to DSR and get back to 1080p 120hz. ;) :p

You should make the most of it though get some 1440p benchmarks up. :)

Takes a lot longer than i thought getting used to 60hz again, i've played more games (in terms of hours) in the last few days than in the last few months, and i'm only now starting to get used to it.

I'm less of a man though, because i'm going back to 120+hz on Monday :D

@Matt, nice comparisons :D
