The fact you get 5 games with it, for me is still a possibility for me, 2 of them i'll sell, and since so far not many people have complained against it, I might just nab one.

yes.
Why do people take a chance on these cards when there is a known problem with them![]()
don't forget the 3.03% cashback at topcashback if you do(= ~ £7 saving)
Too late, im too lazy to cancel the order for £7, but now that you've reminded me, BOOKMARK'D!!!
Here you go boys....
Run the STALKER : Clear Sky Benchmark
Settings were Ultra @ 1080p with MLAA

Called up customer support and asked if the they still honour the warranty if I flash the card with a BIOS that has less voltage and they said yes.
If anyone could upload there BIOS ( Check your voltage first ) then that would be awesome![]()
People have posted on msi forum about the high stock voltage on 7950 BE's and the reply was always that its normal.
Try this workaround to see if it helps
"Thanks for the reply.
I've found the solution for that. I downloaded the version 3.00beta9 of afterburner and now it can change the vcore.
I changed the vcore from 1.25 to 1.05v. Now the card is running at 1050mhz, 57degree with 60% fan speed, cool and quiet. Before was 75 degree and 80% fan speed.
I'm satisfied now."
I shouldn't have to use after burner or any other software to reduce the voltage..
Not acceptable on a BRAND NEW card

But you said you were going to flash the bios
It's better to test with afterburner first before flashing to another bios with lower voltage and then find the card is not stable with it..
Or you could just turn the voltage down with MSI AB?
All flaming boost edition cards have a high stock voltage. SO IT IS ACCEPTABLE.
Don't get me wrong, those temperatures are high even for that voltage but to say it isn't acceptable to reduce the voltage using MSI AB is ludicrous. Especially when you're on about flashing a BIOS over the top.
BIOS is better because I don't ever have to reply on software to keep the card in check.
But wouldn't it be less of a headache to just try afterburner first? If you can get it stable with much less voltage then go ahead and flash the bios if thats what you want. What's the point of doing it if it will just make the card unstable! Personally though I'd return the card, as you can see on the first page it was advertised as topping out at 64-68 degrees with 50-55 percent fan.
Same Settings as before with the STALKER benchmark..

Completely stable, flashed it at 1.1v which is more then enough for 1100Mhz too![]()
