Every time I by something like juice or the stuff I've just got to make it i get grief off the wife like I did do when I used to have a really high end pc

Just showed her the vamo kit mentioned above and she's going mad!

Anyone else get grief or is it just me?

I'll get my own way anyway because it's only what I've saved in the full 3 weeks of being smoke free (first week or two I still smoked at work) she just sees it as I'm wasting money when im trying to save it. Oh and she still smokes

Yep, so far so good but i am starting to get shinyitus lol, i keep looking at battery mods like a Vamo etc... but tbh the Ego-t with the CE-5 is doing a perfectly good job, so why change?
A very kind member on POTV sent me a Kanger T3 with some spare wicks and coil wire so i may start tinkering soon once one of the coils go

Should have said, i am a habitual giver upper with the fags, often give them up then go back on them a few months later, i have to say Vaping is the easiest way i have ever given up fags.

I've read that you should put a couple of drops of liquid onto the coil of the atomiser (not that I know where the coil actually is!) to prevent the burning taste. Should you also wet the wick with some liquid too?

Also what's a good cleaning/maintenance routine to get into to prevent problems?

buy some of those interdental brushes to clean the coil from gunk when it gets dirty, they work a treat, and fit perfectly in the gap to clean the coil

Regarding drips on the coil, do you just remove the plastic part of the atomiser on the other side from the wick and put a couple of drops in there?

i dont do that i just pour it down the sides to about 1.4mill full

you need to check with customs etc and the airport on that stuff as it will look like a bomb on an xray if its all together what with wires and batteries and liquid, i took a set of poker chips in a metal case to greece with me and i saw it myself on xray screen as it scanned through in my hand luggage and it looked like an explosive device full of cylinders of liquid, the screen flashed red and said alert on the x ray monitor and they opened it up and even emptied the deck of cards.

I'd say no. Always take much more than you need. The first year I went away I ended up at the end of the two weeks with only 1 1/2 working atomiser. I'd taken more than I'd normally use but had a couple die faster than normal.

I did think about that, I'm putting that stuff (except my vamo, a spare 18350 batt and some juice) in the hold, and it worries me that I won't be there to explain it if they want to question it. I would label it if that didn't make it look even more suspicious!

take it in hand luggage then you can explain it and show it them, if it causes an issue in your main suitcase then its a holiday with no clothes as a possibility

i never pre-drip any juice into it.
just remove top (mouth piece) tilt the CE5 at a 45 degree angle and pour in juice down side of the tank, being carefull not to get any juice in the centre hole.
i usually top it uoto just below the 1.6ml mark, thats it really.
the wicks feed the coil so imo it doesnt need pre-dripping liquid.
The coil is under the centre bit, the rubber bit with a metal teat with a hole in it.
this part is changeable by it self, so if a coil burns out, u can just change the coil and not the whole tank.

Cleaning, i just use a syringe with warm water and fill the tank a few times upto the 1.6ml mark, screw back on lid, give it a shake, pour out water and repeat process a few times.
Then i just unscrew the bottom part of tank, so the centre pole and wicks are exposed and let them air dry.
Fill with new juice, then i do a couple of burns and its good to go.

When you're cleaning it as you describe, is it OK for some water to go into the centre hole when you're shaking it? Also how often does it need cleaning like this?
