im happy with my vamo and kanger protank, im not an electrician or a mechanic lol some of this stuff is a step too far for me lol

I've been vaping for 2 years and only just dipping my toe into genny style atties now. No need to rush into it. Find what you like and stick with it. You appreciate upgrades more that way. I'm going to be using my RSST as my "at home" atty until I really get the whole wicking and coiling thing nailed. My wick and wire should arrive tomorrow, so for now I've just been fiddling with my clean RSST. I think I'll want to drill the airhole out, but I lack the means to do so :/

Is that a new coil? I would have expected them to be a bit more oxidized if it isn't. How many volts are you using at 1.4 ohms?

Yeah, it's a new coil. Only used it for the second time this evening.

It's been sitting on a standard ego battery, so about 3.7V I think.

Here are the pictures of my RSST.

The coil measures about 1.4 Ohms with a multimeter and I'm using 400 mesh.

Hi mate,

Condensation is pretty common in gennys, it's simply caused by vapour being left in the chamber after you finish your drag.

It wont cause any problems and is nothing to worry about.

Unless you clear the chamber every hit it's going to happen. Some have a chamfer around the wick hole to allow juice to seep back into the tank more easily. Also a larger air hole will make it a bit easier to clear it all (and produce more vapour.)

I get it all the time in my AC9.
It's a bit hard to clear.

Note to Stevio: a lot of ego bats are regulated down at 3.2v might be worth checking which you have.

Thanks for that. I was thinking of drilling out the hole, just got to buy the right sized drill bit first. :p

I've just tested a couple of ego batteries I've got with a multimeter and there all running at different voltages (between 3.5V and 4V) the one I was using on the RSST was testing at 4V.

For air holes you want tungsten carbide tips, drill slow with lube, you don't want to harden the SS (If it's SS I can't remember, don't own an rsst).

The safer alternative is using a set of jewellers broaches like the below:

Does the Kanger Protank arrive already wicked and also the replacement heads have a choice of different Ohm ratings are these alao pre-wicked?

Or are these things made for you to mess about with yourself.

Vaping some GVC, and can't help that feel my Dual Coil Carto isn't getting the most out of the flavour?

Was that underload? They normally output less when a attie is connected. You need to really mess about to get a true reading. I don't really know that much about it but have watched videos of people that do testing them. Most egos can do about 3.7-4 when they are fully charged but soon go down to less.

It doesn't really matter as 1.4 ohms should be good on a ego if it doesn't have to down the volt as a amperage limit.

To me your coil looks a bit messy not bad but not perfect. I'd also say your wick is a bit tight looking. You should be able to move it in and out fairly easy but it shouldn't be able to move out itself. Kind of hard to explain. Helps with airflow back into the tank.

No, I used a mutlimeter connected across the terminals. The different readings are probably because they're all at different states of charge.

I usually use a Vivi Nova with 1.8ohm heads so it's not too different.

It was my first go with one of these, so I'm just pleased it works! :p:D

I think you're right about the wick though, the videos I watched before setting it up all had the wick going in quite easily. Mine was a bit of a struggle.

Yes, you get the heads, both I think are rated at 2.5 ohms. I believe the heads can be recoiled, I have yet to do this. Same principle I think as recoiling a Vivi Nova head, just that the atomiser is the bottom of the tank.

Yes, heads can be recoiled without too much hassle, they also sell heads at a slightly lower resistance, either 1.6 ohm or 1.8 ohm from memory.

has any one got a link that sells the vamo v2 in stock and in the UK , my google skill must suck I cant find any

Time for an update on my situation guys!

I've still be using the E-Lites ecigs and they have been working well but for the past few weeks I have still been slipping up here and there while out on nights out drinking (once or twice a week usually) and having mega craving for a real fag, which therefore leads to me buying a pack of 10 and going through them all in one night! :( As already said, the way I feel the next morning straight away makes me realise why I have stopped smoking real fags all the time but I'm glad to report that I besides the nights out, I don't touch the real fags at all :)

However, for the past couple of weeks I must admit that on occasions throughout the days it has been difficult to get a full nicotine sensation/fulfilment from these e-lights and I'm starting to think that they are starting to no longer work for me properly, which has lead me to do a bit of research into proper vaping and investing in a kit and finally kick out the proper fags altogether! I've been doing a bit of reading up on these: http://vapourhut.com/Ecig-Kits/Intermediate-kits/VH-Star-Kit

I'm ready to order the kit and order some fluid with it too but I just want to hear some people's opinions on these and how effective they are, do they give a better smoking satisfaction when compared to e-lights? (which to be fair, I've read a lot of bad reports with e-lights in general so I'm not surprised that I'm starting to think their rubbish too!). Am I right that the kit that I have linked is the same as the EGO-T CE5 which I have also read about? If not do you guys think that the EGO-T CE5 is the better one to go for?

Many thanks all! :)

Liam

E-lites are crap liam, i had a poor experience with them too, the kit you have chosen is perfect for getting into proper vaping, if you like fruity flavours send me a message and ill put you in touch with the guy i buy my juice from.

Also if you like custard then buy some of this http://grantsvanillacustard.com/

The kit is fine but order it from here http://www.vapeland.co.uk/e-cig-starter-kits-10-c.asp
Cheaper and I'll vouch for the service.
