Just use anything that fits the wick hole (I use the ink tube from a dead ballpoint pen). Wrap your coil around it (nice and tight so it holds its shape later) as though it were your SS wick, then remove the placeholder so the coil is just hanging there. Pulse it a few times so it glows red and then put your wick in.

Currently sat in the Children's Assessment Unit (paediatric a&e), annoying the staff as I puff away :p
 
Hi guys, got my first little vape setup going today. I'm using the boge cartomizers with an ego-t battery and some liquid from coolvape.co.uk. I was pleasantly suprised at first with the strength of the hit, there is plenty of vapour and it feels just like a smoke. My only small issue with it is the taste, it reminds me very much of the taste/smell of a smoke machine (I guess that's just what it is), will this subside as the cartomizer beds in a bit? Whilst I probably could pack in the smokes for this, the taste seems a little too much like I'm doing more harm by vaping instead of smoking if that makes sense.

The flavour I'm using is Cola and it does indeed have a hint of that, but if it was flavourless it tastes like just I'm inhaling from a smoke machine :D Tbh these liquids were pretty cheap and the bottles look cheap, maybe I should give a reputable brand a go?

Any advice would be great!
 
Some people say they can taste the filler from cartos but it's not really something I've noticed. The flavour is a touch more muted than clearos but cartos are very convenient. Definitely try other flavours though to rule out the Cola.

Did you prime the carto properly before using it?
 
I followed a video on youtube by "pbusardo" for loading new boge cartos. The more I'm using it, it does seem to be improving. I've got a mint and a vanilla too so I'll load one of those into another carto and give it a go. I can already see why this thread is so big, once I've experimented with a few different flavours I can see an upgrade coming!

pbusardo is a legend in the vaping world! I think I've seen the video you mention and it's quite comprehensive. Yes, the flavour will improve after the first fill. In a few days, you'll start to get a dry or burnt taste which is when the carto needs changing. I get a week out of them if I'm lucky.

I used an M3 bolt iirc on my Aga-t. it just fits the wick hole, so the threads on the bolt help u get equal spacing on the coils, took me about 2 mins with a needle to get the bottom coil glowing and no hot spots :D.
done 4 coils and its at 1.8oHms.
My first and only coil on it so far lol, if it works dont mess with it, i only use it at night time, so i have got about 2 weeks out of it already and its still working fine.
 
Hi all - have been reading this thread with interest as I'm an ex shisha smoker who had to give up due to having lit coals around the house being a dangerous prospect with two inquisitive kittens.

What I'm looking for is a nice little set-up that will allow me to explore some of the various flavoured non-nicotine e-liquids and to get something that's 'right first time' and will serve me well. I'm thinking that a Stainless Vamo from here and a few Kanger Protanks from here seems like the best combination for the price?

If that is the case, would anyone be so kind as to recommend me a set of suitable batteries and a charger that would work with the Vamo? And with the plethora of e-liquids out there, which are the ones to go for? I'm looking for fruity flavours and things like vanilla/custard/etc.

regarding juices, the best custard seems to be Grants Vanilla Custard http://grantsvanillacustard.com/ and u are lucky as he is open right now (he often closes site when he has enough orders for this month)

Actually, that was going to be my next question.

Can you store these tanks filled and ready to vape or are there issues with leaking, etc? I'd like to have a selection of flavours on the go and swap between them as I see fit.

Perhaps I'm not reading things correctly, but that juice appears to only available in varying strengths of nicotine? Or is there a 'pure' version as well?

Many liquids can be had with zero Nic, but the majority of specialist flavours made by small operations will just make a few variations of the popular strengths. You can mix tour own liquids to save money, and that also ensures that you can get zero Nic juices in any flavour. The hardware you have suggested is bang on, and you can store tanks with liquid in them without fear of leaking in most cases (I wouldn't recommend it for long periods, but simply carrying a couple tanks and vaping each as you feel like it is fine). With regard to batteries, 18650 non protected batteries made by AW or Efest are both regarded as quality brands and will work well in your vamo.
 
After a month back on the cancer sticks I'm ready to give the e-cig another blast. I have an ego-t starter kit thing but it's not as good as when I first got it. Had about two months use of it. Should I try a different kit or will an upgraded battery suffice?

More than likely the atomizer needs replacing.

The battery will be fine. I'd suggest trying a different atomiser (low resistance preferably).
