chronicles of riddick. i've finally broken my run of watching bad to mediocre films. this really was very good.

Oblivion - Fairly good film, worked it all out pretty quickly and once seen you can't watch it again 6/10

Not too shabby, got a few laughs out of me, which is more than can be said for most comedies these days.

Tries to be a mix of American Pie and Van Wilder, fails on all accounts. A few ok jokes, but 2 of the leads of bland, and the other is incredibly annoying, like a Stifler without the charm.

Why so surprised ? You understand that movies are a subjective medium right ?
Some food I love you will hate. Some women I find attractive, you will not.
Saying that something is 10x worse is just applying an arbitrary number to something that makes no sense to anyone. Also, saying that Elysium's story makes zero sense is demonstrably false. I know this because I watched it and it made sense to me.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - I had always been aware of this film but never seen it so recorded it a while back and watched it with my two sons. If you took out most of the songs it was pretty good. Obviously very poor special effects but then it is almost 50 years old. Overall a good fun family film, don't know how I never saw it as a kid!?! 3/5

Just my thoughts on Skyfall. I enjoyed it even more the second time around.
Roll on the next film I say. DC has really grown on me as a bond and I think the films will get even better.

Didn't really grab me and some of the concepts it relied on didn't fit well with me. Though some of the special effects were cracking (face bit was fantastic).

Jack Reacher. Derivative. Maverick cop! Framed killer! Sexy naive lawyer! Corrupt businesses! Corrupt city officials! Expert hand to hand combat! Car chases! Shoot out finale! Stop me if you've seen this one before.
Olympus has Fallen - ok, seen worse, much like the die hard kind of films, no thinking, just lots of action and one man saving the day. 5/10
Ironman 3 - pretty good, far far better than 2, did seem a bit odd them referring to the aliens and loophole to me for some reason.

Somewhat predictable thriller/horror with lots of jump scares, a twist and some comedy. It was nothing special but still a decent watch, some nice gore in it too.
